Glad to see the are bringing in Cooper. I honestly hope he is our first pick. I'm all for the more agile, maneuverable guards. Perhaps we can even run a fricken screen for once.

You mean he will be less popular with the media but win twice as many Super Bowls? I will take that.

So draft Armstead in the second if you want an athletic guard. What an oxymoron, athletic guard is. No guard is worth the 10th pick the value just isn't there especially for the second best G in the draft.

Agreed. I've jumped off the guard at 10 train, we've brought in Levitre (near pro-bowl level) and two capable starting RGs/C, plus we'll have Velasco back. If we take a guard in the 2nd or 3rd, they can compete with Turner and Spencer for a job. Get a defensive playmaker in the 1st.

As someone who played guard and pulled all the damn time, why is athletic guard and oxymoron? I know a lot of people want a mauler, but we have a mauler right next to them in Stewart. We need someone who can move out and be an o-line lead blocker on sweeps, counters, and screens.

I don't agree with that at all. Every anylyst has said the guards we picked up besides Levtre are depth. If we get a top guard now, we have a shored up o-line for years to come. At that point we don't have to draft o-line, even in late rounds, for 3-4 years.

Protect your QB, and open lanes for your RB and you will win games.

You can still get a top guard in the 2nd round, that's the point.

Heck, we took Roos in the second and he has been a starter since day one at Tackle.

Kevin Minter (LSU ILB) & Brian Winters (kent state OG) also have met with Titans. Interest was shown in Bacarri Rambo during pre-draft process, no meeting.
