If the dude balls though, I don't want to lose him. We lost Haynesworth and our team hasn't been the same since. He only stopped playing once he got his money. Britt is far too young to call it a career because of one paycheck.

If we can lock him up for around 4 years for reasonable pay, I'd be down. If he wants a big payday, tag him and be done with him.

With Nate getting old, KW being a slot guy, and Hunter's future questionable, we could find ourselves very thin at WR soon.

Tag him.. That would be the correct way to handle Britt as of right now.

Britt has to remember that he has done to himself and this is the best way to protect this franchise.

I'd consider giving him a 3-4 year deal if he was willing to sign for a reasonable price. If he wants a ton of money, tag him.

    D. Promise him all the money in the world on a night out in Jersey. Give him a few drinks and go out clubbing. On subsequent arrest, offer less money. Deal done.

    Screw being a mod.

Franchise tag is the easy choice because it's low risk and a safe play for the Titans but the cap hit is going to be over 10 mil and we're already projected to be at 135 mil next year unless we make some serious cuts. So I would rather just give him an extension, depends on how much he's asking for.

I say Franchise him if he'll negotiate with the team. To me its about security and longevity. If they support him like CJ (not dump him if he has 1 bad year), than its a good deal for some job security. I think him and CJ could make for some defensive nightmares with the rest of the talent we have on this team.
