This is it, this is where we see things differently.

If enough players play poorly enough on a consistent basis, and that causes us to lose games, I do put that on the HC.

I am not giving him a pass, I am putting things in context, or at least my opinion. It the whole picture.

You guys say Munch sucks, I say he is average. You guys are pissed at Munch, I am pissed at the players. We blame different people.

I know the comparison between the two are laughable, but it was more to prove a point. If the HC is ultimately responsible for whats on the field, then Coughlin should be fired. To me, its a mixture of many aspects of the organization, including the players. TC can obviously coach, but he needs the players to do so. Is it his fault that this year, he doesnt have those players?

Okay let me ask you this, not to prove a point but because I dont understand where you are coming from.

Our defense was great at first, then the past 3 games we have seen some boneheaded things. We are not blitzing like we were, we are not using and showcasing Brown like we were. Is that on Brown, the DC, or the head coach.

Since I know Brown can play, I put that on the DC. Do you blame Munch, for the defense the past few games? And more importantly, did you give him credit for how well it performed the first few games.

Britt/Turner/Reynaud under performed. The person who has the power to make those changes, made those changes. A coach does not have final say of who is on his roster. Yes, he can give input, but he does not have the final say. Otherwise, big name FA's would never leave the team.

the only reason coughlin gets a pass with the giants is because he won 2 superbowls. What has munch done? I agree with you with putting blame on players but munch as not utilized talent on the roster imo which comes down to coaching.

I wasnt really trying t compare the two. I was trying to compare the line of thinking that "whats on the field is the HC's fault". It should apply to everyone. I agree that Munch has proven nothing, but I also feel he gets WAY too much blame for the faults of this team. Especially after showing the willingness to make changes as far as who plays, as well as who calls his offense and defense.

part of the job description, happens with every team. Ron Rivera was taking so much heat earlier in the season and look what happened! I agree with what you say tho. Reynaud was the one mistake I thought that showed some cluelessness of how the team was being run.

The Giants didn't do anything in free agency, we did. They had no cap room and lost players, we didn't. That's the whole point, supposedly now, Munch has his players. We have no more cap room to overhaul...we spent it. If he can't win games with our shiny new team that he helped assemble, there's a problem.

Coughlin's done a few things in this league, we have proof signaling he knows what he is doing; Munch hasn't made the playoffs in three years and has a losing record as HC. One gets the benefit of the doubt.

We both want what's best for the team, we simply disagree on the methods; and there's nothing wrong with that. You're entitled to your opinion, and you've been a great sport in debating back and forth.
