Locker injury is on Munch and Loggains imo. Should never have called that option run and he should've been instructed to slide instead of leading with his shoulder (earlier play same drive).

Maybe it's not fair to say a player getting injured is on the coaches, but I was very unimpressed with the O calling yesterday, thought we were way too predicatable, again.

He did have a good OL. Both with the Rams and with the Colts before that. Biggest difference is that Faulk was also a dangerous receiver

I fear you are right. I think Jake has the tools minus being injury prone.

I agree but we cannot afford to wait. If we could demote him and bring in a good OC to mentor him that would be the best bet. But not likely given the way the world works.

completely agree with you alex and we did not even make adjustments to the game plan as we came out in the 2nd half behind in the score and continued to run the ball in to a brick wall. I was waiting for a play action pass the entire time and it never came. Our offense yesterday was pathetic and simple.

You raise a lot of good points and I am inclined to agree.

We're going to miss the playoffs again, and that should cost Munchak his job. Period.
Loggains should stay IMO but probably won't if we get a new coach.
I'd like to keep Williams but we'll see. Gray can go.
Matthews as OL coach absolutely has to be fired. No questions asked.

We're stuck with Levitre and Warmack is a bust right now at pick #10. Hopefully both improve under a new regime, OL coach especially. Matthews is crap.

We have some good young players that deserve to be locked up long term. CJ is NOT WORTH 10 mil. If he doesn't want to take a paycut, cut him. He shouldn't be kept at the expense of Verner, Casey, Brown, Ayers or Mccourty. All those guys need to be here long term. Especially Verner, Casey & Brown. We BETTER re-sign Verner this off-season.

David Stewart should definitely be cut.

And you're right on Locker. He's earned the injury prone title and should be replaced next season. Wimbley needs to be cut also. That's a no brainer though.

Here's the thing... Loggains/Munch are being criticized for not finding that "spark" to get the offense going when, IMO, that play was designed to do exactly that. The run game was sputtering and the hope was that something unexpected that results in a big play gets things back on track.

I didn't like it at the time but would be among those today critical of them for not trying anything unique if they hadn't. It's just crappy luck Locker got hurt on the play. An end-around with KW could have as easily gotten him injured.

I think we could have went in a different direction to trying a unique play. Consider the fact that our qb is not at 100 percent going in to this game after being carted off in the jets game I think we could have done a double reverse or something to that nature. That would have been nice to see or a flea flicker or something. I am still waiting to see a play action pass but we did not even try that lol I would not have had my qb run the ball like he did. At the time I thought it was a broken play too.

Look at the coaches that were in the superbowl the year before. Two fiery coaches. The year before Tom Coughlin and Bill B. Both fiery. The year before, Mike Tomlin and McCarthy. See what i'm getting at.

This game was over as soon as Jacksonville got off the plane. Delanie already admitted that they overlooked them and you could tell within the first 5 minutes. Its a damn shame, could of gained serious leverage in the division.

We can certainly revisit this at the end of the season, and let's all hope you're right and that I'm wrong, but I don't want to still be saying 'almost there' for losses 8, 9 and 10 for the season. And I don't want to still be saying 'almost there' for losses 8, 9, and 10 for the next 3, 4, 5 seasons etc. The argument you're making *sounds* like you're prepared to do just that.
