agree 100% with this and it all goes back to his mentality. You need to be aggressive but protective of yourself as well and realize you are a QB not a MLB like he tried to be in week 1 of 2012 making a tackle.

Ive been trying to hold onto anything that resembles just-cause for moving forwards with Jake Locker at QB.

Thats what it comes down to. Would your employer keep you on the payroll if you called in sick half the time?

I think this injury doesn't happen if not for the other injury. I'm willing to give him another shot.

last year on his contract next year but if we bring in a qb from the draft I expect that this team will have a qb competition come training camp time

Only if he's willing to take a pay cut...

Agree its time to move on from Lock though. I'd like a QB in the first regardless. As for Fitz, I'll give him some more starts before I say if he's a 'good' back-up.

Next year IT HAS to be a 1st round QB, Lock (i assume he'd be willing to stay even if he's not the guaranteed starting QB in '14), and a vet (again either Fitz or someone else). I personally don't think Fitz is that good, but might do as a back-up. So really it will be between Lock and the the guy we bring in....

No, I actually think he will turn HUNTER into a star like Wallace. WRIGHT could EASILY become his Hines Ward though... And with that , I'd be all for getting Ben. Above I didn't really take this into account b/c after spending all that money last year, I'm not sure the team will pony up much more cash. I also really think we need to sign ATV/CASEY too...

    --

My ideal situation would be a combination of those instances I said above. Get a good guy like Ben (to start), and let Jake continue to learn b/c I just don't think he's ready yet (I think watching Ben for a season or 2 could really help him. His style of play is something Lock could mimic)... Then get in a rookie (not necessarily a top round guy) as the third option or keep Fitz if he 'WOWs' us as the season rolls....

honestly im not ready to give up on locker... call me crazy...
nor am i ready to give up on CJ... yes, call me crazy again...

i feel that we need an experienced creative offensive coordinator... i could just imagine what CJ would look like playing in New Orleans or New England...

he still has it, i know it, he's just sick off all the bull ****...

how do we not have a runningback in the backfield on 3rd and 1 last night?
why the **** do we take cj out of the game to run greene? when cj was killing it...
why the **** do we start playing a prevent defense in the 2nd quarter?
why the **** do i feel suicidal this morning?
why the **** does munchak look like an idiot on the sideline with no emotion?
why the **** isnt munchak yelling and screaming?
why the **** do i still love the titans? :(

locker has shown flashes of what he can do, the talent is there, the leadership is there, the work ethic is there, but so are the injuries...

im not giving up on locker until after next year... i mean, look at matt staffords first two seasons as a starter... injuries up the wahzoo... but he turned out just fine.

now if he gets hurt again next year, can the guy, and im a huuuuuuuuugggggggeeeeeee 'locker stocker'... but we his potential you have to give him one more year. you have to... and thats exactly whats going to happen next year...

I ask myself this every week now. "Why can't I root for a team that isn't pathetic?" Or hell, a team that is pathetic. This "Wow! We look pretty good this year!" followed by, "Wow! We're ****ing retarded" pattern that's been going on is getting old quick.

If CJ is this player you say he is, then he needs to put his feelings aside and run like there's a K-9 unit on his heels.
