    Here's why:

    1. He's done this before. He revived Buffalo and Indy.
    2. He will acquire and retain a quality head coach
    3. His teams have ALWAYS been in the Super Bowl hunt. Not JUST the playoff hunt.

I want Polian to come in here with a CLEAN HOUSE and a new foundation. No holdovers.

I'm ok with this, but not as GM. He would be president of football operations

Ruston Webster is a great GM. He just doesn't have a coach that knows how to use the talent he brings in.

Polian's success was 95% due to Peyton Manning. Pass.

Ruston Webster is not a great GM. Ruston Webster is just better than Reinfeldt.

Our FA acquisitions and draft picks under his tenure have underperformed (aside from Kendall Wright). The jury is still out on Warmack & Justin Hunter.

We don't know what a "great GM" is because we've never had one. But I'll tell you this much: hanging on to CJ, Britt and allowing Munchak to hire his buddies is not something a "great GM" does.

I guess Peyton played in Buffalo from 86-2003 too, huh?

    Guess again.

Polian is a MASTER team builder.

Zach Brown, Casey, Wright, sensabaugh, hunter, Ayers. There is some good young talent, but I agree the coaching has been terrible.

Exactly. Without manning, he'd be on the street. Check out Jim Caldwell. Manning made him look almost competent for a year or two. Made Marvin Harrison a hall of famer. Essentially made an entire huge fanbase singlehandedly. Made tony dungy into something when he essentially was nothing, IMO. He was regarded as a defensive coach, and his defenses always sucked.

No to anything manning related, unless it is manning himself.

Polian knows the division and has a proven record. I think a consulting role would be more his style at this point. Polian also came under some criticism for hiring his kid as a scout.

Webster has had a couple of decent drafts and I think the FA azquisitions were spot on for the needs of the Titans and the FAs available. Granted, not all of them have panned out, but I don't see who we should have gotten instead of the ones we did.

The point about the coaching staff is valid, but I think it was left to Munch to make his own staff moves and the responsibility for hiring his buddies is on Munchak.
