Should be the case, and he should have been fired immediately after the Jax loss. That's as low as we have been and it didn't happen. I really doubt at this point that Munchak is gone. I think that Smith waits until the end of the week to make it seem like he put a lot of thought into the decision even though his mind's already made up to keep Munchak.

    Jonathan Hutton ‏@hutton1045

Pollard said he sat down with Munchak last week and they spoke openly about his opinion on what he'd like to see happen

    Paul Kuharsky ‏@PaulKuharskyNFL

Pollard: Gregg Williams is a DC, an alpha male. Wants to run his own defense. Doesn't see Gray/Williams continuing as is. #titans

    Jim Wyatt ‏@jwyattsports

Pollard said Gregg Williams is a DC. He needs to run his own defense. Can't see him and Jerry Gray both back

    Terry McCormick ‏@terrymc13

Pollard said Tommy Smith did not ask about Munchak's future.

    Terry McCormick ‏@terrymc13

Pollard says Gregg Williams did a great job voicing his opinion on things but not stepping on toes

    Paul Kuharsky ‏@PaulKuharskyNFL

Bernard Pollard said he talked to Tommy Smith before game. Smith did most of the talking. Was encouraging. #titans

Also, that sounds like a lot of Jerry Gray bashing to me.

Yes and he praises Munchak and says he's not the problem. Who does he think handpicked Jerry Gray to be his DC?

I was going to say that, but this whole Munchak situation exhausts me and I can't talk about it anymore.

Yeah, this really sounds like Gray will be out. Pollard seems to heavily prefer Williams to Gray and I bet most of the D does too. Gray is also a great sacrificial lamb (not entirely innocent though) to satiate the bloodlust in the fan base after Munch is retained.
