This is very true. If you can make such a drastic change in such a short time like the scenario you just mentioned and have success, then you are a needed commodity in this league.

 

Derrick Morgan didn't improve a damn bit. He had fewer sacks, tackles and passes defensed than he did last year. He had four of his six sacks against the Jaguars and Texans, you know, two of the worst teams in the league.

That guy is "almost" a good player

 

Actually, I think just the opposite. If you brought in a Gary Kubiak or Williams as DC...both guy who want to get back to HC's, they may see this as an on the job interview knowing Munchak has only one year left on his contract. That way, if they fired Munch after next season, they will have proven (or not proven) that they should be the next guy. Or, if the titans got off to say an 0-4 start, they could fire Munch and choose one of these guys to be an interim head coach where they really could sell themselves and show what they could do. And with the Oilers/titans penchant for hiring 'in house,' that is how you get 'in house.'

I'm not saying it's the right thing to do but I could see it.

Browns have very little talent on defense, Horton made the most of them. He did the same thing in Arizona also. Not to mention, in Cleveland they had NO offense. Leaves me to wonder how often that defense was on the field. Bunch of excuses, I know. I personally want a coach that can develop a young QB, Horton doesn't provide that.
