Lets make a splash in free agency

I don't think we have to make that big of a splash, just make smart roster decisions.

Cut CJ: Doesn't matter what your opinion of him is, he's not worth that contract and he won't take a pay cut.

Cut Stewart: Pretty obvious he's about done, hasn't been the same for a while anyway.

Cut Wimbley: Hasn't worked out for us and like CJ, not worth that contract.

Re-Sign: Verner (obviously) and Pollard. Pollard brings out the best in Griffin, let's not create another hole by letting Pollard go and seeing Griffin's play decline as well.

Those are just the major moves. So we need a RB, RT, DE, and MLB are the major areas. QB is a whole different story and another DT and WR wouldn't hurt.

 

Griffin played pretty well this year. Cap hit good? Well maybe not, but at least he was productive. That said, I don't have much faith in him continuing next year if Pollard isn't here.

 

what did everyone think about Stingly? I personally thought the guy might be starting for us next year.....

We could do better but if we're looking to save money then sure I guess.

 

well I know we could do better, but like you said, we have a ton of holes that need addressing. I'd consider RT one of the minor ones. Especially with how little impact briging in someone else would likely be.

 

we need an oc, a DE , and QB. oc and QB this team inproves 1000%. yall think to hard. everyones hopes were shattered when locker went down because we all new what fitz was. they took a chance on dowell and locker. thats it. no need for off the wall what ifs. sometimes it is that simple. we were 3-1 and everybody was for the most part happy. we got to here from an injured QB and junior type playcalling.

 

Signing Hardy could be a huge boost to the defense. Him and Casey would terrify opposing Olines

 

We dont have enough $ for Hardy. I wish.

 

Yeah he was decent this year. But he's set to make 6.2 mill next year. He seems like the kind of guy who's only going to be as good as the rest of the defense. So I think we could replace his production for much less money.

He's not a leader or a difference maker yet he's being paid as one.
