Munchak Fired

I'm so uncontrollably happy right now! I was in Qdoba eating a burrito when I saw the new on the TV. I almost spit out my burrito and started dancing. LOL.

Well, one year after being tied for the worst record in the NFL and having the worst roster in the NFL going into 2013, 4 wins isn't that bad. I mean, Bradley's and Caldwell's strategy of not wasting money on big name free agents when they know it's going to be a building process and instead focusing on drafting well and hoping a couple of their UDFAs stick and become key contributors and then once they start building a decent roster, then being willing to go out and sign the bigger name guys to fill the "few" holes left on the roster is pretty smart. Not saying it will work, but it's a decent strategy. I would love Gus Bradley and David Caldwell as our coach and GM. Hurts to say that, but I'm going to give an honest opinion.

Michael Irvin is acting like he's coked out of his mind on NFL Network right now.

 

wow... i knew he was going to be gone. now is the exciting part.

 

Here’s the statement from Titans general manager Ruston Webster on Mike Munchak, who was fired on Saturday:

“First I want to thank Mike Munchak for his professionalism through this process and thank him for his years of dedication to the Titans/Oilers organization. He is first-class and I wish him and his family nothing but the best. I also want to praise Tommy Smith for his involvement during the weeklong process. He was thorough and thoughtful.

The last week has been a difficult time trying to navigate through many issues to find the best resolution for this franchise moving forward. Tough choices were presented to all sides and the end result was to part ways and move forward without Mike.

We will immediately begin a search for a new head coach.

I am confident that we will find a coach that can continue our growth as a team and lead us to sustained success.”
