Head Coach thread

I'm now on board with Franklin because everything you've said has been wrong.

 

I have a good feeling Webster was wanting Munchak to replace Loggains with Mularkey. I think there's a good chance Quinn is the head coach with Mularkey as OC. Usually the first name that starts gaining steam is the guy. Don't like it but hopefully it works out.

 

I don't want either of the Seahawks coordinators. I don't feel like the DC is proven enough but the OC wouldn't be the worst candidate. Murlakey??? Nah, that guy needs to stay away... OC, DC, HC.. Don't care. Nope.

 

I have no idea what malarkey did in jax... I might go and check that out soon and get an idea if he comes here

 

True, but don't forget Carroll spent 15 years in the NFL before his time at USC. Franklin only has a year of NFL experience as a position coach if I'm not mistaken.

That doesn't mean that Franklin can't be an amazing NFL head coach, its just a much bigger risk at this point then bringing in someone with more NFL coaching experience. With that as a consideration, I think its a stretch to believe Webster would bring him in as the new HC. This is his first GM position and if he makes a hire that doesn't work out, he's very likely out of a job here.

 

Mortenson was the first to report this and he was also the one to break the news Munchak had been fired. Obviously he knows someone high up in the organization.

 

You want Whisenhunt and Wade, but not Bevell? That's awful, dude.

We had a coach who lost 59-0. Let's get another one who lost 58-0... to Bevell's offense! WHOOO HOOOOO!

Whisenhunt's team was absolutely schooled by Bevell's offense last year.

 

He oversaw a dumpster fire and got canned after one season.

 

I'm not liking the Mularkey rumors at all don't think he would be what we need on offense.

I would love Whisenhunt with Philips as DC.Also cool with Bevell or Quinn.
