Mularkey failed as a head coach but he's actually a very accomplished offensive coordinator. Remember Michael Turner running wild in Atlanta? Mike Mularkey. Remember Jerome Bettis running all over everybody in Pittsburgh? Mike Mularkey. Remember Ronnie Brown in Miami? Mike Mularkey. If the Titans want to be a tough, hit you in the face offense, Mike Mularkey is the man for the job. Don't judge him based on a failed year as head coach with Jacksonville and Blaine Gabbert.

The one thing all those RB's have in common besides Mularkey is their ability to impose their will on defenders. Those 3 men simply out muscled everyone.

Anyone know why the teams record declined towards the end of Whisenhunt's tenure leading to him being fired? Was it coaching or more of a personnel and salary cap issue?

Mularkey's whole offense is built around tough punishing RB's and physical TE's. I like it. We would have a tough D with Zimmer and a tough O with Mularkey.

Unlike everyone else, I have no problems being a run first team (if that suits us), but right now we're counting on Shonn Greene, Delanie Walker, Craig Stevens, and Taylor Thompson. I do not like the sound of that.

We just drafted 2 WR's early, and they're pretty damn good receivers. Lets figure out our QB situation so we can build on that.

The QB situation is the main issue moving forward. No matter what the rest of the team can do... The QB is going to make or break em.

Shonn Greene is a tough punishing back, so is Jackie Battle and I'm sure we're gonna draft one. Delanie Walker and Craig Stevens are 2 of the best blocking TE's in the league. We are actually built perfect for Mularkey's offense, hence the reason you keep hearing his name.

John Skelton and Ryan Lindley had to play after Kevin Kolb got hurt.

Basically, after Kurt Warner retired they have struggled to find someone to play QB. Kevin Kolb, Matt Leinart, Derek Anderson, Ryan Lindley, Brian Hoyer and Carson Palmer have all played since Warner retired.
