Lol people question Quinn's resume but yet want to hire Roman?! He was a high school offensive coordinator before he got a job with Jim Harbaugh and has been with him ever since. How do you know he isn't just a product of harbaugh's system?

And still better than being an OL coach.

Alll the guys we have interviewed are better than munch. It just seems odd to me that we are doing all of these interviews and it leaks out that quinn is the leader, yet I do no think we have interviewed him yet. I want to get the best coach possible, period. Not webster's buddy, and I am not saying that is the case but, i am saying is that I hope that we are looking at everyone really close. Quinn maybe great but just looking at the resume, I just cannot see how he is the leader when he has not been interviewed yet.

Quinn HC with Williams as his DC and Mularkey as the OC....I could go for that. Mularkey has been an OC for 8 years in the league. His offenses have been top 10 5 of those 8 yrs. Some guys are good co-ordinators and bad head coaches. I think Mularkey falls into that category. We know Williams can coach up a defense. Both co-ordinators are known to be hard on the players which is something I think we need. When Mularkey was coach for the Jags the players complained that his hard practices led to more injuries. Whiney little Hags...

I want no part of Roman period. The 49ers are loaded with talent, maybe the best o-line in the league, one of the best defenses, a great stable of runningbacks, a mobile qb with a big arm. Yet I watch them in many games this year and it is like they are trying to turn him into a pocket qb and they throw it all the time. If they just run the ball last week they would have beaten the packers by 3 td's. It is not the same offense as last year.

only thing makes me think maybe were just not waiting on Quinn is the reports we offered gruden a contract...though I kinda doubt those were true

We haven't been able to interview them yet, but my guess is the coaches that Webster "reached out" to early last week before Munch was fired was probably the Seattle guys.

So my guess is Webster at least has a feel for how the Quinn relationship would work and also if he will take the job.

I'm hoping we get Whisenhunt, who also doubles as OC. Whisenhunt then gets his old pal Ray Horton as DC, if that falls apart then we keep Gregg Williams. Whisenhunt also likely brings back his buddy Russ Grimm to coach the OL. Frank Reich likely gets a job too. Hopefully we keep Shawn Jefferson also.

I haven't questioned Quinn's resume, but I have on several occasions endorsed Greg Roman.

He has constructed successful offenses for Andrew Luck (at Stanford), Alex Smith and Colin Kapernick. I believe he could come in and give our offense structure and our team an identity. I personally love his way of thinking, it is very out of the box. It is an offense based off a power running game. It features multiple sets/ formations (unbalanced lines, 3 TE, 8 offensive lineman), and movement. It seems like the passing game feeds off of the run game. I endorse this for our team and I believe the front office is trying to push our team (based off of past drafts) in this direction. I think the stars would align and we would become more consistent.

Now on the other hand, I have been researching Dan Quinn. I would have to say, I believe he would do the same thing for us on Defense. Both of these men are innovators in their way of thinking so I could back either.

But, I think with the pieces we have on offense, Roman could come in a work with it. He isn't a system coach, he creates a structure that works for the players he has.

    Side note:
I personally don't want CJ released (I want him utilized properly, then if he fails I am okay with releasing him) and I want Jake to succeed. We drafted them, we should groom them and benefit from their success. This "should be" the Titan way.
