I dont think it was really that many who were sure problems. I think around week-6 is when it began. Kenny was benched at that point, CJ was coming off back to back to back bad games. Jake was hurt, so everything went to crap. The weak ones folded early and then a few others got sucked in.

That and defenses play him a lot smarter than they used to. Early in his career defenses played him the say way you play every elite RB. Aggressive and close to the line. Which, oddly enough, is the worst way to play him as it lead to defenders taking bad angles on a guy with such speed. It was the Steelers that first realized the best way to play :cj: is to contain him rather than attack him.

Now everyone plays him this way. Which is why it looks like :cj: looks like he is making bad reads. In actuality defenses are simply not giving him the seams he used to get. And as such :cj: will never be able to produce like he once did. At this point he is best served as a situational RB like Sproles or Bush.

Exactly. Defenses play up on him and get physical and take away the lanes. His lack of running with a chip on his shoulder only makes the defense attack him more. Take away the out, force him in, and 2 hand touch him, and he is eating the grass...

You know how you slow that down? Studder steps. He uses that move very rarely after he killed Bacarri Rambo in the preseason with it.

NEW YORK Delanie Walker told the truth here again on Radio Row, and he’s surprised some folks are surprised about what he said.

On numerous occasions during the second half of the 2013 season, the first-year Titans tight end was outspoken in his belief that not everyone was pulling his weight during the year. He said there was a “cancer” on the team following a November 10 loss against the Jaguars, and he repeated it numerous times as the frustrating season came to a close.

In a radio interview with 104.5-FM’s Midday 180 here on Wednesday, Walker again referred to the “cancers.”

“And now it seems like it has all of a sudden blown up,’’ Walker said on Thursday. “I don’t know if people didn’t realize what I said after the Jaguars game, or if they weren’t paying attention all season. But I was never shy about it.

“Now it is the Super Bowl week so it I guess it has gotten bigger. My main thing is I was brought there to win, and I want guys to feel the same way as I do. We had too many good players to have the record we had. I just felt like we had a few guys who weren’t “all in,” but that was no secret. I’m the type of guy that when you ask me a question, I’m going to tell you the truth.”

Walker, who went to the Super Bowl last season with the 49ers, joined the Titans last offseason. Safety Bernard Pollard joined the team last offseason as well, after winning a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens.

The veterans were the most outspoken players on a team that ultimately finished 7-9, with Mike Munchak getting fired at the end of the season.

While Walker talked about a “cancer” on the team during the season, in the interview with Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow and ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky, he expounded on the issue. He estimated the team had “six” players who “really didn’t care” when the team was losing. But he didn’t name names, and said he won’t.

He said he hasn’t heard from any of his teammates or anyone with the Titans since airing out his feelings further.

“I am not saying it was this dude, this dude or this dude. I just threw a number out there. I really don’t know. I felt like it was a couple of guys,’’ he said. “To be honest, I think people are taking it way too far. There were no fights, guys weren’t missing meetings. That stuff wasn’t going on. The locker room atmosphere wasn’t bad. Everyone came to work and did their part.

“What I am talking about mainly is the attitude after losses. After you lose three straight games, I just felt like there should be more dedication to getting better and we didn’t have that sometimes. I felt like guys could’ve worked harder.”

Walker said he hopes new Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt will change some of that.

“It is not just in football, it is on every sport. It happens like that on every team when you’re losing,’’ Walker said. “When I was on the Niners we had guys like that and when Jim Harbaugh got there they weren’t there when the season started.

“I know Ken is the type of guy who will try and weed some of that stuff out.”
