Titans hire Eason

    The Titans have hired Nick Eason as the team’s assistant defensive line coach.

    Easton spent last season as an intern coach for Cleveland, where he assisted the defensive staff of coordinator Ray Horton, who is now the Titans’ defensive coordinator.

    Eason, listed at 6-3 and 305 pounds during his playing days, had a 10-year NFL career. He spent his last two seasons (2011-12) in Arizona when Ken Whisenhunt was head coach and Horton the defensive coordinator.

    Originally a fourth-round draft pick of Denver in 2003, the 33 year-old Eason played in 117 NFL games during his career, winning Super Bowl XLIII as a member of the Steelers.

    The only thing I remember from this guy's career was him leaving Broncos camp because he was homesick. Not saying it's a good or bad hire, just that he was unremarkable as a player.
