Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't certain posters absolutely positive that Battle would never make the team last season? The dude ended up making the roster and did contribute albeit minimally. I'm not saying he's a lock to make this team because anything could happen. We could draft a kid that ends up looking good or acquiring a FA but let's not be too quick to count Battle out. I wouldn't be opposed to cutting Greene to free up some cash but don't get it twisted we would down grading in talent going from Greene to Battle. Greene>Battle all day.

That would be JCBRAVE. He was upset the Titans chose Battle over Parmele.

    I wasn't at all upset.

What I said all along was Battle sucks, and its true, he does suck. You know it, I know it, everybody except scarecrow and Eddie George knows it. He will give you 2 great games then completely fall off the face of the planet.

I'm a little perplexed why anyone in their right mind would advocate cutting Greene or worse yet cutting Greene and keeping Battle as our lone power back.

1st off Greene's whole reason for being a Titans was so we would have a decent vet RB on the roster when we let CJ go. While he was hurt some last season he doesn't have a history of injuries and has been a solid RB. Good runner and can catch the ball.

The whole issue with Battle is he was decent on STs, which is imperative for the 3rd RB and he actually was a decent 3rd down back catching and blocking. But his vision and lateral agility was shown to be horrible with the biggest example being the failed 4th down goaline when he apparently didn't see a 350 pound man standing in his way against KC. Greene probably scores on that play easily.

There is a good chance Battle doesn't make the roster and IMO that is the best scenario. But it should be obvious his role from the start is going to be as the 3rd guy and STs player. No way anyone wants him as one of our top two RBs. Assuming we cut CJ the team simply needs some bodies to go into camp with. The other RB will be a better FA or draft pick.

Battle didn't completely fall off the planet. Greene got healthy and Battle actually did have a shoulder injury I believe for a stretch of games. He isn't going to get many carries behind CJ and Greene anyway.

But I do agree he isn't all that good.

If you judge Battle as a starter yes he sucks, for 3rd RB though? He's pretty damn good.

No even as a 3rd RB he's not that good.

His inability to get out of his own way is difficult to watch.
