and to anyone crying over a few pennies extra being tossed his way, please go around the rest of the league and complain about those generous deals being handed left and right.

this is uncharted waters for a lot of GM's, this year teams have to spend all their cap money, whereas in years past you could hold it back for carryover. now the CBA makes teams spend their money.

Playoff teams have depth and versatility....something we had ZERO of last year....I would think people wouldn't be nit picking the salary as long as they use him properly...Which I will remind you again...Munch is gone and people making decisions coaching now have better resume's....How about some positivity for at least filling some need and adding a possible dangerous piece in TN?!

If it works out which I'm praying it will then it will not be a bad signing. I'm trying to temper my optimism. If he becomes what he hope he becomes than we just got a lot more dangerous as a team.

The fact that Webster is trying to get rid of him points to Whishenhunt not being sold on him; remember that Webster has a reputation for working very closely with his HC so far. In fact if I remember correctly Whishenhunt said it was one of the reasons that he chose us over Detroit.

If Webster cuts ties with CJ then it most likely because Whishenhunt does bnot think iot he is worth it, and inversely the fact that McCluster was our first FA signing means that he is a guy that Whisenhunt really believes can help this team in a big role (you don't give guys 34 million a year to sit on the bench) and Whis isn't stupid.

We pay McCluster more than any other team was willing to pay him, yet we didn't overpay? It's all about value. McCluster can contribute, but his contributions won't justify what we're giving him.

You see him being compared to Danny Woodhead with people thinking McCluster will be used in the same way. Maybe the uses will be similar (though Woodhead is the more talented rb), but don't tell me they couldn't find a good player for a cheaper price.

Woodhead's contract is for 2 years for $3.5 million and $1 million guaranteed. McCluster is looking at 3 years at $12 million and $4.5 million guaranteed. If they're getting the next Woodhead, they're paying way too much.

Funny though... those who say we overpaid CJ are now saying we got a good value in McCluster. Laughable.
