    Horton has said we'll be playing 1-gap D, remember cause ppl were worried about Jurrell Casey fitting. In a 1-gap the Nose shoots the A gap. I would've thought you would know that seeing as you're supposed to be a know-it-all.

    I now gap assignments, but how does a NT shoot a gap, he's always occupying 2 players....

    Not necessarily. If he is occupied by 2 he holds position, if only one he shoots the A gap. He isn't always going to take the double team, especially if he's playing next to a guy like Casey.

    Dansby would of been nice but not for the money Cleveland threw at him. He's going to be 33 playing inside for the next 4 years at 24mil? I'll pass for that $$$. Spikes is a Solid rusher against the run but vulnerable against the pass. He's looking to break the bank and that's why he hasn't been picked up yet. I do like Smith but I can't see the ravens letting him go. You think moats is an upgrade over woodyard?

    A nose guard can shade the eye of a center, and be responsible for either gap. Or he can line head up and pick a side, either way the MLB is responsible for the other gap.

    Ok but you're saying we're limiting ourselves to only being a 1-gap defense, thats impossible to be.

    Horton has plays were half the field plays the gaps, half play the linemen (2-gap)

    And FWIW I dont buy in to anything these coaches say right now.
