I think Ebron is gonna go near #11 anyways... Wouldn't surprise me if he went before our pick.

I really doubt we can trade back and be able to get him.

Why are you resorting to personal attacks? You don't need to insult my intelligence because I disagree with you.

I have the expectation for this team to compete at the highest level possible. Losing an all-pro talent while bringing in guys like Woodyard and McCluster (who are at best quality depth/special teams players) is not going to put this team over the top. I am tired of questionable signings year after year to scrubs.

I think if anyone is proving themselves to be a fool, it is you. At least I can form a proper sentence and express my opinion without resorting to childish attacks.

I'm happy with free agency so far. We upgraded some of our many areas of need with serviceable players and narrowed our focus for the draft.

-Oher may not be an all-pro but he's an unquestionable upgrade over Stewart talent-wise with a more reasonable contract.

-Woodyard is an upgrade over McFokou and his coverage skills might finally help our defense with its TE problem.

-All I know about Al Woods is that Steeler fans saw him as an up-and-comer and were sad to see him go. Sure, he could be Sammie Hill 2.0 but it's likely that SLH's hype was a result of the players lined up next to him. That probably isn't the case with Woods. Worth a shot, IMO.

-McCluster was brought in to be an explosive, multi-purpose weapon. I think he'll excel in that capacity better than CJ has the past couple of years. Our offense has been missing that for a while.

Going after some of those big names would have been a mistake. Look at how often those players drop off the face of the earth right after transitioning to a new team. You just can't handcuff your franchise to those kinds of contracts.

However, I think letting Verner walk for less than 7 million/year is inexcusable. It's always possible that he just wanted out regardless of the numbers. Nashville isn't for everyone and our franchise has been pretty depressing since he's been here.

I called you a butt muncher and possibly a "100% full-blown retard" if you didn't think that McCluster and Woodyard were upgrades.

They weren't meant to be personal attacks... Just joking around a bit. I apologize if they were taken out of context. I say that kind of stuff to people on here and my personal friends, meaning it to be more light-hearted. I mean - butt muncher... Clearly that was a joke, right?

I just get tired of the negativity in posts like yours that come after every signing we make every single offseason. We are improving the team. Why complain?

We can't make big name signings on a regular basis. We need to have a good team in place to attract the elite players. We will get there. I have faith. It just doesn't happen overnight.

Good assessment. And we did this while being hamstrung by little cap space. We could theoretically get rid of CJ via trade in the next few days and free up more cash to go after a true difference maker. We also don't know what our draft will look like. What's done is done, let's see how this all plays out.

Why is everyone so butthurt over Verner leaving? From the way it sounds we will be playing a lot more man coverage this year, and Verner is best suited for zone. Verner was also seeking a lot more money from the Titans then he signed for in Tampa.

I've resorted to watching a lot of Blidi Wreh college tape, I'm cool with him starting.

I think a lot of people forget he was a top rated corner coming out last year, we can also snag a guy like Gilbert at 11.

Yeah, we got him in the third but many thought he was a solid 2nd rounder and a few even felt he was a first round talent who's only real downside was playing at UCONN. We've been good at drafting CBs, let's see if the trend can continue.

But is it really improving the team? People said the same thing when we signed Ruud and Shaun Smith. Then again the next year with Hutchinson and Wimbley. Then it was Sammie Hill, Fokou, Levitre, Fitzpatrick, and Greene. I'm not asking the team to sign big name free agents, but at the very least stop giving contracts to guys just for the sake of making moves.

In the past few years the only commendable signing I can recall is Delanie Walker. Everyone else has been overpaid and incredibly disappointing.
