Get A Good QB And We Will Be Playoff Caliber Team

I honestly believe that all this team needs now is a decent QB and we could be a playoff team.Last season if we would've had a better QB we would've easily won 10 or 11 games.It is rough when you are a fan of a team and the main weakness is the QB spot.

We were a great team with McNair at QB that made the Super Bowl and regularly made the postseason 1999-2003.The defense was good enough in 2007 and 2008 to make the postseason once with VY and once with KFC at the helm..In 2011 we went 9-7 but the first game against Jax in the last minutes instead of Hasselbeck trying to hail mary we should've just kicked a FG and that loss in the very first game kept us out of the postseason.Then of course we had last season where if we would've went 9-7 instead of 7-9 we would've gotten in but two losses at home after the bye doomed us.First was a two point loss to Jax 29-27 due to a couple fumbles in our own territory then a week later we lost to Indy by three 30-27 on another fumble in our territory by a returner we signed off the street.If special teams would've been fixed sooner things might've been much different.Out of that dark cloud last season was a silver lining because we got rid of Munchak and upgraded not only the head coaching spot but the other positions were upgraded with better coaches as well.

Anyway i think we will be a better team this season after cutting Kenny Britt and C.J. addition by subtraction.I think McCluster will be able to do a lot of things C.J. was supposed to do on offense.I think we will be better on offense with the newer coaches having a hand in helping Locker a bit with some aspects of his game.I think we've done good in free agency as well and still have the draft.Once we get a new RB in here and a new leader at QB this team is going to be really good.Both of these moves will most likely occur in the draft.Of course we are giving Locker one more year and he was playing very well last season before getting hurt.I think this season we will draft a guy and if something happens with Locker again such as an injury we will get to most likely see the rookie get a shot.I hope we get Garoppolo but if we get a good QB thats all that matters.

I know we all liked Gregg Williams but Ray Horton will be a very good defensive coordinator as well.I think we will do much better on defense this year because like Bernard Pollard said we are going to take off the leashes and attack and not be laid back like Gray had the defense doing under his watch.One reason i think the defense didn't do as well as they should've last season was because Williams was having to share duties with Gray.The only player we lost on defense was Verner but they say he wasn't going to fit in as well in the new scheme but other than that we have a lot of the same guys coming back plus some we have coming in free agency such as Woodyard,Phillips,Wood,etc. and we still have the draft.I think this team will be a lot better especially since we upgraded not only at the head coaching position but also at a lot of the other positions on the team as well.I do think if everything goes as planned we will be a much better team.
