CB Round 1 is the way to go...

I don't want any CB in the 1st or 2nd to be honest. I was just putting names out there, for anyone who wants a CB in the 1st. If someone on this board wants a CB, then I think there is good value in the 2nd, as oppose to trying to grab one in the 1st round.

Me personally, I want Stanley Jean Baptiste, but he's one of those players that's too raw to go early 2nd round, but he won't be there in the 4th. So I'm all for drafting a CB in the 4th and beyond, but no sooner than that.

 

I wouldnt be opposed to CB at 11. I just think the pass rush makes a good secondary. Dont want your 1st round CB having to stay with WRs for long periods of time while our pass rush isnt getting home. Build the pass rush and make the CBs we have now look better than they really are.

 

This is why I don't understand why we didn't sign a free agent CB.

 

There just isnt a CB worthy of the 11th pick, thats my only beef with this idea.

 

I think you guys severely underestimate this organization's ability to find mid-round CB talent. If we were as good at finding defensive linemen or QBs as we are CBs we'd be a top-flight NFL team.

Because hes not an elite talent. Picking 11th overall youre suppose to get a serious MFer. Patrick Willis, JJ Watt, those are the types of difference makers I want to see us take 11th overall. Not the 3rd or 4th best CB.

 

You think Justin Gilbert is elite talent and Dennard is not? Dennard won Jim Thorpe award for best corner, NOT Gilbert

 

I like them both. I actually like 4 or 5 cornerbacks for us. Its not that this draft lacks good CBs, its just none of them jump out at me for us to take one at 11.
