Dennard is far and away better than Gilbert. All that speed is great but Dennard is still a better cover corner and has better hands for the pick and all the nuances of the position.

The 2 best corners in the league were mid 4.4s mid 4.5 guys coming out of college (Revis/Sherman). Don't get all enamored with Gilbert's speed.

Why do people assume that rookies coming in will be better than them? They're all unknown, I think we should give the guys we've invested time and money into a shot given the team's track record with finding CBs. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in a rookie in the middle rounds, but drafting a guy in the first two will just make people feel better, but really doesn't add any bit of certainty to the position.

I'd sign a vet on a one-year deal just avoid having to play Campbell if someone goes down. Carlos Rogers, Rashean Mathis, Terrell Thomas, Corey Webster, Drayton Florence and Josh Wilson. Take your pick.
