If Bridgewater is there at #11 we absolutely have to take him. I have said the same for Manziel. And I'll say the same for Bortles. If the top QB prospects fall far and your team needs a QB, it's just a no-brainer in my eyes.

I feel like one of those QBs is going to fall and Bridgewater is probably the likeliest of them all.

QBs are the riskiest players in the draft. There isn't one QB in the draft that teams are looking at thinking "this guy is a can't miss prospect." You've gotta roll the dice and take a shot.

It's like getting a BJ from an ugly girl... Just close your eyes and hope for the best.

Qb has to be our first pick, I don't see any bigger needs. We can address the rest of the roster in the later rounds .

No. No to Bridgewater in the 1st - 3rd. Dude can't throw against air. No.

Yes to taking chances, just not foolish chances. Chance is simply a cumulation of probability. You increase your chances with study and research.

Definite yes to Manziel at #11. Yes to Bortles at #11.

Yes to Carr >#20 overall pick (trade down in 1st).

Yes to Garropolo with our 2nd round pick.

Yes to McCarron, Murray 3rd round or greater.

Other than that I'd wait until next year.

I think you may be putting too much stock into that pro day. We can't reasonably give more weight to a pro day than 3 years of actual on the field play. Yes flopping at that pro day should bring up red flags but it doesn't erase everything else the kid has done.

I've heard this debate and I disagree. There are essentially zero unknowns in a pro-day. The field, the routes, the WR's, conditions etc- all should be well known to the player.

A poor pro day unequivocally (IMO of course) is an indicator of the ability of a player to PREPARE. You simply can't trust a player who can't make the throws in as near perfect conditions, without fear of being hit, with time to prepare the body, etc. to make the throws in the frenzied heat of a game with very talented players coming at you.

Not knocking the Big East, but I can't feel good about his play against those defenses.
