During the season I always know when somebody is just trying to placate me and make idle conversation, and that's when they tell me what a great coach Fisher is/was and what a great RB Cj is.

If he continues to put up 1000 yard seasons for a few more years he's a lock

Trust me when I tell you, his 1k + seasons are over, especially since he is sharing time heavily now...Also, he had a few good seasons, other then that, his only strong point has been his durability. He won't make the HOF, nor is he worthy, especially when he falls over due to a breeze.

He may make the HoF just because of setting the season all-time yards record in 2009. But since people are quick to forget, he probably wont.

I hear you, but that one season won't do it...Especially since it was beaten

If he gets with the right team he could make the HOF, wrong team will mean it's literally impossible. It's basically up to him and whether he will go to a good team or a bad team based on money..knowing him he will probably make the wrong decision and ruin any chance he has of fixing his legacy. There's a reason he has the most yards in the NFL since 2008 outside of AP. He should be considered if he puts up at least 2 more 1000 yard seasons..

    LOL!

It's going to take a lot more than that. He'll either need 3-4 seasons of putting up top 5 numbers in rushing and TDs or consistently put up 1,000 for the next five seasons (which is incredibly unlikely considering he will be way beyond spent at that point).

It's not going to happen. If he toughed it out in that Ravens game and we went on to win the Super Bowl and he didn't suck from 2011-2013, he'd make it.

From this point on in his career he'll be splitting carries... doesn't bode well for his HoF chances.

Again, the point is that any RB in the history of the NFL who had comparable numbers to CJ's after 6 seasons is in the HOF. Couple that with the fact that CJ did it in more of a passing league than any before him, and it's not hard to make a case for him being on track for the HOF. The only RB that put up numbers similar to CJ's over their first 6 seasons that isn't in the HOF is Adrian Peterson. Is he on track to be a HOFer?

You are missing one key point.

AP has gotten better, CJ has gotten worse. You are hearing talk of AP being the best of all time. Titan fans can't even agree he is our top back for the franchise.

If you think CJ has a realistic chance of making the Hall while making slight bumps in his production, you are a gigantic homer.
