Some people here sound pretty confident that he's going to make it with another 3,000 yards.

Let's see how confident they are with money on the line.

I'm not doing some BS long-term bet where someone makes a ridiculous offer and doesn't live up to the deal. Dude I worked with in high school bet me $3000 that the Browns would win the Super Bowl within three years. I would've given him ten and still taken the bet. Shook on that sh*t right away. Never got my $3k... not that I expected it.

That ****er probably goes around making that same sick bet with other co-workers before bouncing and never paying up.

I think we all hope for that. The problem is some of us want him to be the guy so bad that we're willing to force the issue even if he really isn't the guy.

To say CJ will definitely make the hall is pretty stupid as of right now because no one knows where he'll be playing or how many touches he'll be receiving. I think he's got an outside shot at it but he'll have to land in a situation that allows him to even do it. If he ends up in a place like New Orleans (probably won't) then he'll have a hard time.

My best comparison is Reggie Bush. Reggie hadn't accomplished anywhere near what CJ had to this point in his career yet at 29 years old he went up to Detroit, split carries with Joique Bell and others, and still managed to put up 1,512 all purpose yards (1,006 rushing, 506 receiving) and 7 total TD's. Yes, CJ isn't the receiver out of the back field that Reggie Bush is but on a much less talented team last year, he was still able to put up 1,422 all purpose yards(1,077 rushing, 345 receiving) and 10 TD's. There are no logical reasons for why CJ can't do the same or better in a similar situation. This is why he still has a shot. It's no slam dunk by any means but to pretend he has absolutely 0 chance is just blind...well you know.

I didn't think I would but I miss CJ. I salute his durability and pass protection, his home run style was frustrating at times (negative runs) but overall one of the few special players on this team. Unfortunately he was too pricey. We lost a baller tho, no two ways about it but recently we weren't using him properly. Anyway CJ SALUTE!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!! (hope we land a stud in draft)

I love CJ and things like dat and I wish him luck! I hope this experience makes him hungry and I hope he sees another 2k season. One thing is sure, if he runs like he did in 2009 (regardless of reaching the 2k mark) he will be receiving starter touches in 2014. Production talks on smart football teams.

CJ did come out on top of this whole thing. Sure his image is minorly damaged, but everything is temporary and he'll be playing soon enough. If he does this right he'll use 2014 to sell himself as a 3 down RB and cash in again come 2015.

At the end of the day he only ended up being in Tennessee one extra year passed his rookie contract but was getting around $9M a year when he was only due $550K a year. CJ bested us and thats half why Im glad he is gone. We took a chance on him when few to none would, hand him a mega signing bonus, make him the focal point of our offense, and he cant restructure? F that guy..

Think of CJs style as a busted fuel pump in a car. Its kinda hard to make it anywhere only pumping gas to your engine 3/4 of the time.
