49ers used a 1st for two years in a row on OL. It really is an important position so I wouldn't really mind it.

I'm warming up heavily to C.J. Mosley. I think we are set at the OLB position especially transitioning from 4-3 to 3-4. We automatically get Morgan and Whimbley as additional OLBs so I think we are set there. We just need that true Defensive QB for our D and we would be good.

1st should OL or ILB, maybe a true #1 Receiver but I don't see anything other than that.

Just used that draft simulator and Blake Bortles dropped to 11 and Hageman dropped to our 2nd. I took both and then Andre Williams in the 4th

My mock has a trade in it. Miami wants to move up to take Taylor Lewan at #11, they give us #19 overall and their 2nd and 3rd rounders (that might seem steep, but we gave up a 3rd rounder last year to move up 7 spaces in the 2nd round).

Round 1 – Kony Ealy – DE – Missouri (#19 overall, via trade with Miami)
    Round 2 – AJ McCarron – QB – Alabama
Round 2 – Jack Mewhort – OT – Ohio State (via trade with Miami)
Round 3 – Jordan Zumwalt – LB – UCLA (via trade with Miami)
    Round 4 – De’Anthony Thomas – RB – Oregon

That's incredibly steep. We gave up a third rounder in the subsequent draft, which equates to a fourth in the same draft. Future draft picks have less value than ones in the same draft because you have to wait.

I'd say a third from the dolphins would be about all we'd get in the 2014 draft.

I doubt they'd also give us a 3rd.. 1, 2, & 4 MAYBE. Especially for Lewan who ive seen falling to later, maybe if Robinson/Matthews were available. Dont like McCarron in the 2nd -too early.

you think san fran would be anywhere near as good as they are now if they didn't take first round o lineman what like 3 or 4 years straight

    no they wouldn't

Nope, oline is the most important position group on the team. It's not a sexy pick but it's always a smart one. Teams that go after skill guys, besides qbs, before they lock up the oline always fail. With that said we only have one hole on our line, we could get a replacement via free agency then wouldn't need one at all. If we don't get a fa tackle and we don't have a high grade on a 2nd or 4th round guy and we aren't going qb, we need to get that guy in the first round. A top notch playmaker on d or o isn't going to to us any good if the o can't sustain drives.

    With Barr gone:

Dolphins trade 19,3rd,4th and a 3rd in 2015 for 11. A trade value chart show titans giving up(1,250) and fins(1.225). Dolphins move up for Lewan.

1(19). Louis Nix III Notre Dame 6'2 331lbs
We can't run an affect 3-4 without a legit 3-4 Nose. While we have Mookie and Hill, neither of them are as good as Nix is. I just worry we are going to get it run down our throat as usual unless we get a dominate NT. Casey-Nix-Pit would be the starting 3 with about 9 other guys fighting for roster spots and playing time.
Competition in camp on the dline is going to be savage.

    2. Jeremiah Attaochu Georgia Tech 6'3 250lbs
With Phillips, Ayers and Wimbley already on the roster, by adding Attaochu we have a very nice group of OLB's. I also think Brown can rush the QB from outside if necessary.
Attaochu is one of my favourite prospects this year, frightening speed and bend to get round the LT, he is also a 100% player! always chasing down backs. Good smart pick from the Titans.
Murphy, Van Noy, Smith and Ford are all possible in and around this pick.

    3. Jeremy Hill LSU 6'1 233lbs
I think we will be tempted to take Mason, Sankey or Hyde in the 2nd, but I think we wait till the 3rd round. This is a good RB class by all accounts so we should have a decent choice here, I went with Hill because he is a no nonsense grinder who is about as elusive as you get for 233lbs. 1 fumble in 374 touches, I like that and almost 7 ypc. With Greene and McCluster we have our committee.

    4. Jared Abbrederis Wisconsin 6'1 190lbs
We seem to be down 2 receivers Britt and Williams. I hope Preston gets his shot this year, he has warranted playing time the last few years and gives us that big target. Jake seems to like him too.
The other spot goes to Abbrederis, better football player than athlete, heady route runner and extremely tough to bring down after catch. Wicked smart and durable.CBS has him as a 3rd prospect but I think he is good value in the 4th.

    4. Brent Urban DE Virginia 6'7 295lbs
While I think we have a few DE's on the roster already, Urban has the potential to be an nightmare inside in Horton's 3-4. He is almost a clone of Pit, and will be in the rotation day one. Massive potential and stronger than his lean frame suggests, will only get stronger. Has ridiculously long arms to wrap up ball carriers.

    5. Antone Exum CB Virginia Tech 6'0 213lbs
Wow...my personal draft man crush. His film is excellent, the toughest CB in the draft. I think he has a chance to be a safety down the road. Watched his combine film, he has exceptionally quick feet and is big physical defender. Unfortunate injury in 2013, otherwise he would be just the prospect Fuller is.
I am a big fan of Cody starting across from McCourty...with BWW and Campbell and now Exum we would have decent depth.maybe we pick up a vet FA as we'll.

    6. Colt Lyeria TE Parts Unknown 6'5 250lbs
Seen him enough to know he has the talent. He has the athleticism for the nfl...obviously the stuff between the ears needs work. Worth a risk. We would have 4 TE's in camp; Walker,Stevens,Thompson and Lyeria. Good group

    7. Tajo Boyd QB Clemson 6'1 220lbs
I like Aaron Murray to be honest but I don't think we will take a QB till the end. I think we are going with Locker next year sink or float. The trade down also sets us up with an extra 3rd next year, if we need to trade up next year for franchise caller. Boyd is a good player that is dual threat, has plenty of question marks about his NFL size, and fit. Will compete with Wilson for 3rd QB behind Locker and Whitehurst.
