Locker has so much to overcome and prove next year, whether it's staying healthy and proving he can make the necessary throws to succeed in this league. We as Titan fans can't even make judgement on his ability to be our franchise QB, because the man can't even stay healthy.

Push come to shove, I wouldn't mind selecting Mettenberger with our 2nd round pick. Forget what some folks say about him, I think he will be a very good NFL QB in the right system. I also would love to select your boy, Aaron Murray in the 4th if he's still available. I think selecting Murray in the 4th would be the best scenario for this team when it comes to selecting an QB.

I think the only scenario, that would make me want to keep Locker, is if he plays at an elite level without missing a game. All while taking some big hits and just toughing out some injuries. He needs to prove that he can play through injuries and that he has gotten smarter. I just don't think his body is capable of that.

Bree's was good with San Diego tho, it was his injury that scared them away. Locker is no were near Brees level of throwing the ball. Lets not fool ourself

Brees was terrible, that's why they drafted Rivers. Brees just happened to turn things around immediately following the drafting of Rivers.

Brees completed less than 58% of his passes and had more INTs than TDs his first three years. They drafted Rivers then Brees goes out the next two years and completes 65% of his passes with 51 TDs and 22 INTs.

I think people forget just exactly how AWFUL the Chargers were before Rivers. Thats the exact reason Eli held out for the Giants. Chargers were borderline Browns level bad.

I was 11 when he came into the league. It was my fault I should of did my research before making my statement I will admit that. But I just now went through and looked at His stats. First 3 years was not so good. His first year however he only played 1 game. The year after that he played 16 games with a terrible td/int ratio. But threw for 3k+ yards. 3rd year he only played 11 games. But his last 3 years he played a hell of a lot better then he did first 3, if u want to count the 1 game his rookie year.

I can see how stat wise he is comparable to Locker in his first 3 years. But that does not change my viewpoint on Locker at all. He will get his "fair" chance this year due to his contract being favorable, but other then that I don't think he "deserves" yet another year to be the automatic starter. If we don't get a Qb at any point this year I will be disappointed.

If by any chance Locker turns out to be the next coming of Bree's I will eat every negative point I ever said about him, But to this point Locker looks like a bust and I've lost my confidence in him. 3 years in the league and he still has trouble reading a blitz, he still throws the ball behind and over his receivers. Still leaves the pocket when it is not needed. Though he does make a lot of good plays when the pressure is on, running out of the pocket. But how many hits does he take before he misses more time?
