Not a bad run by CJ there. My first thought when I saw the video.

Grading a player's entire career off of one rookie season, seems logical.

Warmack was supposed to be ready to play at a high level from the moment he stepped on the field and he clearly wasn't. It didn't help he had one of the worse centers I'd ever seen the first part of the season to his left and a hurting Big Country to his right (or backup T).

No doubt he disappointed but I saw improvement later in the season. I hope Watterson has him much stronger and we see him make some major strides next season.

No way anyone can call him a bust after one season.

It was a season of transition for the ol. A lot of major changes for them. Warmack did struggle last year but he does have it in him to be a star guard. This year he will probably still struggle some. But should be a lot better.

Lots of other top OL have struggled their first year or two in the league. Brad Hopkins is one. Kyle turley is another.

He was a freaking rook, it's not odd to see a guy transitioning from one level to the next have a hard time. Especially (like stated) had bad players on either side of hin for most of the year. Also (as stated) had one of the worst coaching staffs he could have had. This guy will be a pro bowler no doubt. Let him develop a yesr or two longer and we'll end up liking the pick, even though 10 is really high for a guard.

They did both. Not that one is any different than the other.

The entire point was: Warford was much better than Warmack- and you could get Larry later in the draft.

    ... Not "lots". And again...

Point was- if Warmack was worth a first- Larry Warford was worth one as well.

Doesn't help you any when you thought Warmack was a 1st round grade but "wanted" LW in the 2nd... that still makes you stupid.

The problem is that he was considered the best guard prospect since Steve Hutchinson. He was supposed to be as NFL ready as they come.

And even if he was that good, he still wasn't worth the pick IMO. It's nice to have a dominant guard, but it's better to have a difference maker on defense.

I agree with you here, but I don't think end up being a bad pick. Would I take a gaurd in the top 20, no. I would have gone another route. But I think he'll end up being good for us.
