Chance Warmack was Really Bad in 2013

Yep. IIRC most people were not jumping up and down at the idea of drafting a flipping guard in the top 10.

 

IMO, there weren't any difference makers worthy of the that spot. Star Lotulelei and Sheldon Richardson I guess could be argued, but with Jurrell Casey stepping up now, we already have our dominant DT.

 

We needed the other DT spot filled though. And if we had Lotulelei, he would fit the new NT role better than anyone on the team.

I wanted Lotulelei all along. Well, Ezekiel Ansah was my #1, but I knew he wasn't an option.

 

Star was also high on my list as well, although Richardson was not. I went back and forth between Warmack, Star, Floyd, and Trufant/Rhodes. Warmack wasn't my 1st option, but he was definitely among my top choices.

I remember being vehemently against taking Milliner and Mingo.

 

Could have had Star in the 1st Warford in the 2nd. Then we'd be wide open to take a WR at #11 this year.

 

We STILL are wide open to take a receiver this year at 11. Hell, we are wide open to draft anything as far as I am concerned. Chance had some growing pains last year, and will more than likely have some more this year- new system and coaches- that being said, give an individual with his talent the real time to figure out what the hell he is doing, and we just may look back on this and be OK with it. I did not like the pick at the time, but it was a need.

 

And if both Locker and Warmack lights it up this year?

My hopes aren't high for Locker, but Warmack could be the breakout guy.

 

If youre going to support Warmack like that you should support Locker too. Locker at least had a good game last year, Warmack was terrible every week.

 

Locker's had 3 years, Warmack only 1.
