The fact that you even have to mention that he has played more games than he has missed is a red flag for a QB. QB's could miss a game or two there but not at the rate Locker is missing cause it would take 7 years from him to develop at that rate if not longer. I understand your opinion but mine is clearly different on this guy. I talked to a lot of my friends who are giants and jets fans here on LI and they really see no development from locker at all either and wouldn't want him in any way shape or form if we were to cut him. I don't think any team would. He could be a decent backup and there is nothing wrong with that. Starters need to stay on the field regardless!!! If he played in NY he would have been booted last year.

I would agree with this more if there was a QB worth picking at 11 this year...but there is not IMO. That means that, at best, we will be looking for a QB in the second or third round who is going to be more of a development project. In any case Locker gets the nod next season.

Personally, I think that Locker deserves one more shot to show what he can do, and, more importantly, show he can stay healthy. If he is watching from the sideline again next season, I fully support moving on after the season, either by FA or draft (or both).

That wasn't the question homeboy. Contrary to your belief, Locker has been healthy more than he has been hurt in the 3 years he has been here. He has clearly gotten better in those 3 years.

Being injury prone has no bearing on that fact.

Hey Im not mad if youre tired of his injuries, I am too, I just dont see any better options and do see developing taking place, a lot in fact.

    Year-1: 51.5 completion %
    Year-2: 56.4 completion %
    Year-3: 60.7 completion %

2013 QB's with lower completion % than Jake Locker:
    Alex Smith
    Tom Brady
    Ryan Tannehill
    Matt Cassel
    Andrew Luck
    Robert Griffin III
    Joe Flacco
    EJ Manuel
    Matthew Stafford
    Colin Kaepernick
    Matt Hasselbeck
    Eli Manning
    Terrelle Pryor
    Jason Campbell
    Matt McGloin
    Geno Smith
    Michael Vick
    Case Keenum
    Brandon Weeden
    Kirk Cousins

No more knocks on his accuracy ok.. Every QB is going to miss a few easy targets, you just dont see that because youre not watching every team close enough.

I hope he improves and stays healthy, he's the only shot we have for the playoffs. A drafted rookie qb isn't getting us anywhere

JC I agree with you on this one, but I also disagree. He has improved hands down, and he CAN be great when healthy, but we all know he isn't. The difference between that list above and Jake, is that they go vertical and take chances more as well. How boring was this offense the past few years?! 10-20 yards throws and run up the middle...Anytime Jake was throwing deep, I was white knuckled. NOT a good feeling with your starting QB. I said it before, I like Jake, and I want him to do well, but they really need to have a plan B and I think you agree. That completion percentage is not fully telling IMO.

McNabb used to have high completion percentages as well.......................................See what I did there? lol...and that is coming from someone in Philly who watched him throw balls into the ground or over people constantly from 5 yards out and more....

    Alex Smith goes vertical?

I am telling you guys, EVERY team plays small ball, you just watch too much Titans to see it every week. I promise if you turn on Chiefs tape, you will see TONS and TONs of 3-yard completions.

OKay, I will give you that, Alex Smith may not have went past 20 all year. You know what I am talking about though. Tell me you are 100% confident in his accuracy/deep ball? I bet you don't, because I know you better than that. His accuracy is an issue, and it always has been. Even in his College days it was an issue, and hence why he is "Working" on it. Trust me, I am on Team Locker, and I hope that he kills it this year, but we all have that doubt...and it sucks.

His "accuracy" issues are in the footwork, the guy has the power and touch to make any throw tho.
