2014 NFL Draft: Pick #11 - OT Taylor Lewan

Lol is anyone really justifying this pick?

You guys will justify anything though for this boring ass franchise at this point.

How do we take this guy HOW

 

I don't even think we planned on taking the guy. I think we panicked.

 

third worst pick so far of the draft behind Jacksonvilles and Pittsburghs pick

You do not draft replacements at 11. You draft starters.

 

you don't know that. What if they draft a QB in round 2,3, or 4? Tom freakin Brady went in the 6th round.

 

Oh I totally agree but you're expected to do your due diligence on all potential picks.

 

Anybody able to find anything on what CLE was offering us for 11?

 

The Titans had their chance at a smallish, athletic quarterback.

But they chose to protect the one they have already.

With the 11th pick, the Titans selected Michigan tackle Taylor Lewan.

He will give them some options, considering they signed Michael Oher to play right tackle this offseason, opposite veteran Michael Roos.

It wasn’t a need pick per se, as they may still need a quarterback behind or instead of Jake Locker. But they ignored a bigger need at cornerback to take the best player on the board.

 

I wondered if I should bother to get up and get on the board, but I knew regardless of who the picked, the reaction on here would be priceless and I was not disappointed.

Are people really suggesting that we should have reached for a QB or RB instead? Donald was the only alternative I could really see but we've already stocked up on DL in free agency.
