2014 NFL Draft: Pick #11 - OT Taylor Lewan

What if Bridgewater or Carr is still there by our pick 2nd round. Would you take one of them and which one?

This is not an exciting pick. But it was the right pick. Coach Whiz is going to create competition. He has said that Lewan will have a chance to start. We very well will see competition at the QB position as well.

When you are drafting high in the draft then you want to come out of it with a QB, LT, or pass rusher if you don't already have franchise guys at those positions. Whiz is building his team for the future and now he doesn't have to worry about LT.

I think they were hoping that Barr would fall to us. I also think they really tried to trade out, but just didn't get the deals that they wanted.

 

I just hope Lewan doesn't become our version of Richie Incognito.

Well, there is a lot of info out on him. I really feel bad for you guys. Lewan has a bad reputation... I was going to lay out some info for you guys about it but apparently I am unable to make a thread. (I would make it 1 post in this thread but it could possibly be more lengthy as I cite sources.

 

Coach Whiz should be "creating competition" at the QB position. Tired of Jake getting the job handed to him. Make him beat someone out.

 

Haha. I'd bet every time an NFL team chooses an OL in the first round, that team's message board be like.... ^^^^^

Our QBs are AWFUL.

Locker has a chance but if anyone else sees the field you better get excited for a top 5 pick next year.
