It will be too varied with as many voting options as there are for us to get any type of grasp on the overall consensus.

    I gave it an C.

Getting Mettenberger in the 6th round uplifted my grade. Had we not got Mettenberger in the 6th, I think I would've gave this draft an F.

I just wasn't impressed by the 11th pick. Getting Sankey made up for the 11th pick.

I really liked the Sankey, DaQuan Jones, and Mettenberger picks.

You were going to give the draft an F because they picked the BPA along with two other guys you like? Your grading is awful

I guess so. That Lewan pick just didn't impress me at all.

My grades are usually on the front end of the drafts. Lewan's pick got an F from me, Sankey's pick helped out things, then we didn't have an 3rd round pick.

So it wasn't too eventful to say the least.

Also, keep in mind this is just my opinion.

How do you grade the draft an F if you really like 2 of our picks that aren't Berger?

I'm not going to lie and say I was excited with the Lewan pick, but if the experts are right we are going to love this guy when he's a starter. We got the running back we wanted, the NT for our new system, and a QB to develop. This was a successful draft.

    Summary:

    1. Lewan is a bad pick. A team that has NEEDS, you don't randomly draft an LT early with so many question marks at other positions. Add to that that I think he's overrated and is a douche of the ultimate degree. Oh... and he's involved in a rape case. Cool! This was a reach to say the least, and for a team that didn't need an LT.

    2. Sankey is a solid player. I don't mind the player we picked. He's good. Not great, but good. The problem is- RB's weren't being taken yet and we could have easily gotten an RB in later rounds. RBs are a dime a dozen, and Sankey isn't exactly eye-popping when you watch him run.

We did pick up a 4th by trading back which makes this one hurt a little less.

    3. DaQuan Jones... better players on the board, and nothing special. A "body" pick, basically. Should have went DB here instead if we were going to just toss it away. He's ok vs the run, but that's about it. Isn't going to push anyone backward.

    4. Marqueston Huff - May be my favorite pick in this draft for us. Definitely think he's better than both BWW and Sensabaugh. Much more athletic, hits, solid vs the run, and just a great athlete.

    5. Avery Williamson - Not a terrible pick, but I just don't get our need for 1,000 Linebackers.

Great against the run, gets through traffic very well. Huge liability in coverage though- just kind of stands in open space on passing plays. Many times the last one to move his feet after the snap, but quickly diagnoses the play after. If instincts off the snap were better, it'd probably pay huge for him.

But goal-line situations, he's very solid. Not sure about much else when it comes to being of use to us.

6.Zach Mettenberger - Eh. Nothing special here, but when you have Jake Locker, Charlie Whitehurst , and Tyler Wilson as your QBs, he's definitely worth a shot. Pure pocket passer, so I'd take that over Jake "Too short" Locker, who can't make a pass from the pocket. As little as I like Mettenberger, I wouldn't be mad if he took the starting spot. Can't be any worse.

Overall, about the most average draft class we've had in years. Whis' and the boys are off to a bad start.

Because up until the Mettenberger pick, I only got excited over the Sankey and Jones picks.

Then to take it even further, I loved the Sankey pick and only liked the Jones pick.

This draft was just so blah blah blah this year for us.

I'll warm up to things as the days go by. I just think there were players we left on the table that would have been a better option.

    1. OT- Lewan: I know this pick was boring AF and most of us are/were freaking out. But at the end of the day there's no denying it was an excellent value pick. And while it wasn't one of our main needs this year, it soon will be.
    2. RB- Sankey: I love the player, just like the pick. Really wish we would've gone QB here, or at least defense. I'm confident Sankey will be a good player I just think we could've got good value at the position later on. QB/defense were much bigger needs IMHO. All that said, I won't be at all surprised if Sankey is the guy who ends up making the most immediate impact out of all our picks.
    4. DT- Jones: Great pickup. First time of the draft that I felt we struck a good balance between BPA and filling a need.
    4. S- Huff: TBH I know nothing about the guy but I think there was better talent available at that spot. I just hope he works out.
    5. LB- Williamson: See above.
    6. QB- Mettenberger: Again a good value pick. I know many hate the pick but I loved it. He may not have been our first, second, or even fifth choice. But this draft would've been a major fail IMO if we did not get a QB. And for whatever reason, we just didn't land one until now. He was the last prospect left with any notable potential. We had to get him.
