F*ck Manziel and the circus that goes with him. I have no doubt he'll kill next year and their will be a good buzz with the Browns. Manziel is the shot in the arm that beleaguered franchise desperately needs.

    BUT.........

The dude has so much egocentricity 2 years from now when the shine is gone his ego will drive him to self-destruct with some crazy azz attention craving stunts. The guy acts like he has already won 4 SBs. He hasn't done chit.

He will implode vis a vis VY.

I thought we had a decent draft but at the same time I felt we took BPA over draft needs which is something I will always disagree with. My philosophy going forward is drafting by team needs and best player available for each position that is needed. I would have preferred a DB first round to replace Verner. I do like our 2nd round picks and beyond so it worked out well. The red flags bother me a bit because we don't need off field distractions during the season.

I was mad as hell Thursday about the 1st round. Not because I don't think Lewan is a great value pick, but rather because I felt like we botched a trade that would have worked out REALLY well for us. I'm over that.

Looking at our draft, I think we have set ourselves up for years just as Webster outlined. I really liked that we adapted again in the 6th to get Mettenberger. We rode that one out. I'd have preferred a different QB, but I can't argue with what we got and when we got it.

This draft won't be viewed as one that had much sizzle but it set us up well for several years. I really like how Whiz and Webster work together. They were doing an interview about the Lewan pick and Webster was losing ground with the media and Whiz jumped in immediately and shut down the reporter with a SOLID explanation. That was the most inspiring thing I've seen in a while as far as Titan's coaching is concerned.

Anyway, I gave it a C+ because I think we missed a couple of opportunities to capture "play-makers" but we did a good (B) job with acquiring foundation players.

I don't pay much attention to the players coming out of college, or college football in general... the draft is all a crap shoot. Sometimes the "star" players bust in the NFL and sometimes the average players shine. I dont care it a players is drafted in the top 10 of round one or the bottom 10 of round seven.. as long as they make an impact for the team and help the Titans win.
I think its more or a popularity contest for the fans with opinions pretty much swayed by the media.
