Time for Scout Changes?

No **** scouts evaluate players and the GM drafts them thank you Hammer. What do you think those scouting reports have no effect on who we take?

We can't demand a coaching and culture change in one sentence, then question the moves that the new regime makes. Let it play out.

 

We are one of the most solid drafting teams in the league IMO. Most of our starters are draft picks.

 

Can't front I was a big proponent of BPA before the draft and freaked out when we drafter Lewan even though he was CLEARLY BPA. Thankfully I came to my senses. Lewan does seem like kind of an A-hole but he's our A-hole now. You tend to love guys like him when they're doing the dirty work for your side. The kid is a tone setter.

 

...but if we had scouts with better poker faces, we might gotten to choose from Ebron, Gilbert, and Barr.

 

Well if you had bothered to read what i had responded. And it is pretty obvious michigan is good for producing nfl linemen. The best you can come up with is vague insults and sarcasm.
I guess though you are too simple minded to look deep into anything. Probably explains why you are a fan of someone like johnny manziel. A flashy player with serious flaws anyone would notice if they looked a little deeper at him.

Ah, prove something to someone who already has their mind made up. Not that it will change your mind but might as well do it anyway:

• 30 linemen drafted in last 30 years
• 12 in first round
• Going back to all time greats like Jumbo Elliot and Dan Dierdorf
• People like Jeff Backus, Jon Jansen, Jon Runyan
• Steve Hutchison will be on the HoF one day
• As will Jake Long who was taken first overall in 2008
• The tradition suffered under Rich Rodriguez but is now back on track now that another Michigan guy is running the program

 

The same is true for the opposite. There have been many players that we have passed on that sent this board in a rage, but they ended up sucking too.
