Ben is pretty good- keeps plays alive because he is so hard to bring down.

Despite what people think, that can still be a formula for success. I will not deny I have been a fan of Locker since his early days in college. Having said that, I am not saying that I havent lost some faith in his ability to be the guy, strictly due to his health. I just think it would be a waste to pull the plug. I firmly believe if Jake balls out,and stays healthy this season, we should franchise tag him and make him prove it another year before we go long term with the guy. My point isnt that Jakes the guy, I wont say that. Point is that had we pulled the plug on certain other Titans so soon, they would have never been. With that knowledge, I can fully support Jake getting this year as the man.

But as hammer said, he was held back by his coaches style. mc9 would have succeeded elsewhere if it wasn't here, he was a ballet, a gamer.

    Exactly how I feel.

And yes, it can work. We need only look to the most recent Super Bowl winner. Their offense almost a carbon copy of those early Jeff Fisher offenses. Though Fisher used more two TE sets.

A HoF QB is not required to win a Super Bowl.

It certainly helps but not necessary at all.

    Eli Manning...
    Ben Rapeaburger...
    Russell Wilson...
    Joe Flacco...
    Trent Dilfer...

If Locker can be an upper Top 10 QB.

    #9 or #10

Not asking for Manning or Brady but just a winning QB we will be just fine.

We will know everything we need to know half way through the season.

And it was not even anything Fisher had against McNair. It is just how Fisher was. You being a fan of the team for so long understand. Anyone who did not start following the team until the early 2000s or later may be shocked to hear that Fisher was much more conservative and run oriented in the early years.

Fisher hated passing back then. Especially to the WRs. If there was a pass he preferred a safe pass over the middle to a TE or a dump off to an RB. It was not until after the Super Bowl year that he started to lighten up. When he brought Dinger in to run the offense.

Perhaps. Though McNair was a better leader and more clutch than both those guys put together. Which I think trumps anything Big Ben has on McNair.
