Not sure if this has been posted or not.

Ryan Williams was recently released from the Cardinals, he has battled through injuries his first two years in the league. He is only 24 and was a productive back at Virginia Tech. He's 5'9 207lbs with a good mix of size and speed.

Currently we have on the roster
Battle- I'm on the fence about him lacks the vision to get a decent amount of carries.
McCluster- I view him more of a slot receiver but could be poised for a Danny Woodhead role.
    Sankey- Obvious day 1 starter
Greene- Clean-up knee operation, injuries last year. Durability in question good change of pace-back if healthy.
Washington- I feel like he is solely a kick returner at this point in his career, which Marc Mariani will take back over and split with McCluster.
Antonio Andrews- Had a productive career in college but also had 14 fumbles, which is higher then I would like to see coming out of college. Could use a year on the practice squad. Possibly make the roster.

We went with Johnson, Greene, Battle, Washington majority of last year

So I could see Sankey, Greene, McCluster (RB/WR due to lack of depth at WR), then let Battle, Washington, Williams, and Andrews fight it out for that 3rd/4th spot.

Sure, why not? Whiz drafted him out of VT too, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Only reason I think we give him a look, sign him to a cheap 1-year contract. High reward low-risk type move. He either returns to college form and tears up for us, or injuries continue then cut him.

There's a big question mark if he can return to this form but it's worth the chance.

Mark Mariani isn't winning his spot back with a new staff that isn't buddy-buddy with him.

    He's done here.
