Jackie Battle to be Used at Fullback

Battle is a great FB name

 

Not necessarily, you can do a lot of PA from I-Formation. I mean I haven't analyzed the stats or anything, so I don't know if what you're saying is accurate or not. I wouldn't be surprised if that's true for the Titans and Vikings considering the coaching staffs. It definitely depends on the coaching and play calling more than the formation itself. Having two extra pass options or extra blockers in the backfield can be used to your advantage.

 

If the FB can be a weapon Im all for featuring one, but good FB's are far and between nowadays, most of these guys are nothing but blocking dummies with legs.

I feel that Mooney is just good enough a receiver that we can bait teams into thinking a FB in the backfield means run, and then let him into the flats where he could be used to catch the ball.

Jackie Battle could probably handle things like this.

He was a different player the second half of the season. He wore down bad last year. Did you not see a slower player later in the year? Guy takes a lot of huge hits.

 

Battle is quality as a third rb, and I bet he makes a better than ave fb

 

Battle could be a bowling ball at FB. I like Mooney though
