I share your feelings DW, but Lebron is the best player in the game. He is better than Durant as a whole and better than anyone else as a whole. I don't care for the way the Heat came together, but I do watch the games. He is the best player on the planet right now.

Durant is a better basketball player than Lebron.

    Period.

Lebron is the best dunker in the NBA and he can pass. That's it.

Takes more than athleticism, foul calls, and ESPN to win me over.

Dude just broke Michael Jordan's scoring streak record... He's MVP... he's lead the league in scoring for 2 yrs...

and he doesn't JUST dunk like Lebron. He can actually play the game.

And he is young and can create a shot with the best and could/will probably become 1 the best all around players.

But just can't finish, zero rings.

But he has no team right?? Sounds familiar

The problem with playing in the West.

Which is another thing. Lebron wouldn't have seen 1 ring if they played in the west.

    So true.

I mean, look at this season. The Heat were totally untested in the playoffs until the finals. The Bobcats, Nets and the hapless Pacers? No wonder they got worked in the finals.

I'm pretty sure he beat two WEST teams for those 2 rings.

I think Lebron is fantastic. On the court, he is the most unselfish superstar in this era. He is like Magic Johnson. I give Magic the edge on passing, but Lebron is better at every other aspect of the game. He is a better shooter, more athletic, and a much better defender. Magic didn't pay defense. They even both took lots of crap for failing in the finals.

Durant is an amazing scorer and a nice guy, but I'm not sold on him. When the going gets tough, he just starts jacking up 3's. That doesn't work in the playoffs. You can't shoot 3's off the dribble and consistently win. His game will have to change before he wins anything.

The problem with Durant and the reason "he can't do it" is the same as it was for LeChoke back in the day: bad coaching.

I like Scott Brooks. But holy **** your offensive strategy can't be "Give Durant or Westbrook the ball and have them score." You cannot win like that. Mike Brown did the same stuff with LeQuit back in the day, the only problem with LeCramp though is that, if no one else is doing anything, he'll stop trying. We saw it this year, we saw it in 2011, and we saw it year in and year out with the Cavs. He'll come out and score, but as soon as things stop going his way he quits.

Spoelstra's not a good coach either. Spurs pretty much took their foot off the pedal last year in Game 6, lesson learned, we see the result this year. In 2012, you practically had 2 v 3: Durant and Westbrook vs. the "Big 3" (Harden was ready to leave due to contract issues and it showed).

But if the cHeat have to play a team that is well coached? They won't do **** unless the other team falls asleep.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in the off season though. If LeBron sticks around there is no way the cHeat win again. They don't have the resources to make hardly any moves this off season. And besides, all Riley knows how to do is let All-Stars collude to fall into his lap anyways.

Now, if David Blatt turns out to be who the rest of the world says he is, I will be very interested in seeing how he does with a team consisting of Irving, Thompson, Waiters, Wiggins, Bennett (bad rookie year, but there is potential I suppose), and whoever else the Cavs bring in with their decent amount of free cap space (hopefully not LeBron, ugh, the slurping sound coming from all sports stations if he goes back to Cleveland would be too much to deal with).

And can the LeBron v. MJ thing finally be put to sleep now? 6-0 in the Finals on the team that drafted him vs. 2-3 in the finals, four of which were on a team he colluded to create. No, there is no comparison and there never will be a comparison.

Yea... Scott Brooks is Mike Brown bad IMO.

Listening in on his advice he gives to the team really leaves you scratching your head and asking if this guy really knows what he's doing.
