I'm referring to the QB carousel he ran in AZ. The QB's weren't very good but I'm sure him pulling guys in the middle of games did little to help them or the team's situation much. They were all young QB's so it's possible one of those guys could have developed if given more time without having to look over their shoulder. Of course it's possible they would've stayed the same. At the end of the day though, he benched dudes, made them "accountable" and the team still sucked + he still got fired. That's why I say just benching a guy won't solve your problem, you gotta have a guy who will play better. Anyone can bench guys, finding the guy who will take the spot and raise the level of play is the hard part.

We will start to see true accountability when the coaching staff starts making rooster cuts during the preseason. I predict there will be more than a few big names that won't fit in with the new ideas and directions this team is heading.

I never argued these guys were great only that benching them alone did not solve the problem. Just benching guys even if warranted doesn't magically fix things. That doesn't mean you never bench guys but you should at least give them the opportunity to definitively show they don't have what it takes. You also better have a solid plan in place to actually fix the problem once you do decide to bench them. Accountability is great and all but knowing where to place blame or determining who is responsible is only half the battle.

Younger (and sometimes better) players never get their first opportunity without somebody get benched cut or injured. The concept of tenure is alive and well and was counter-productive in this franchise for years.

The saying if you have 2 QB's you have no QB's comes to mind. To be completely honest, I don't know exactly how much time each guy got but when you cycle through 3 guys in one season there's no way either one had the full faith of the team nor enough time to get better. We all know young QB's are going to struggle, pulling them and breaking their confidence isn't a good thing. If the QB is a guy who you're not willing to go through growing pains with then he shouldn't be out there and you already made a bad call by putting him on the field. Accountability does matter but at the end of the day winning to me is all about talent.

yea well they had three qbs and still had none lol. all I was sayin is I don't know if this instance is a great example of accountability gone wrong.

Maybe it was maybe it wasn't but what it definitely wasn't was a case of accountability gone right lol. Sometimes you really are damn if you do and damned if you don't, ole' Munch found that out the hard way.
