I remember saying we should trade him before giving him his "history deal" while he still had max value. I was of course ridiculed. Fast-forward 3 years later and everyone's hoping we can dump him for a 5th rounder lol.

Ok best player, probably not. But excluding QB's possibly, which is what I meant.

Best RB, you have an argument (although I disagree).

Best RB by far during that time stretch.

People were saying he was better than Adrian Peterson, was on pace to be the greatest Titan RB in history.

He was on pace to be the greatest running back of all time, numbers wise, if he was worth a sh*t after year three. You knew he wouldn't keep pace or be worthwhile after a few years though. You had to know.

Even I knew he was a one trick pony and as soon as he hit 1000 carries, he was gonna be close to spent. He's all speed. He's still fast as hell, but he doesn't cut the same and doesn't run with the same urgency and decisiveness as he once did. You had to know those legs would wear down a bit.

We'll see if it was a lack of motivation or the fact that he's just done... because he'll be as motivated as ever this season.

He's still one of my favorite Titans of all time just for the pure excitement he brought us. Fell in love with him his rookie season, and bought his jersey before the world knew who he was.

Stopped caring about him when he held out for an extremely ridiculous amount of money only to suck ass 70% of the time for three seasons.

If CJ plays really well at the Jets I might hate him forever! If he plays well because of the scheme I will be happy, but if he makes something out of nothing like he used to here I will be pissed! Then I will truly know that he could have been great but chose to phone it in when he got paid.
