Titans cut the cord on Tyler Wilson, sign Chase Coffman

    The Titans added some depth at tight end, and cleaned up the depth chart at quarterback.

    The team announced they had agreed to terms with tight end Chase Coffman and defensive tackle Lanier Coleman, while placing tight end Dorin Dickerson on injured reserve and waiving quarterback Tyler Wilson.

    Wilson was an unneeded part after the Titans signed Clipboard Jesus Charlie Whitehurst this offseason, and drafted Zach Mettenberger, and this move only cements his status as one of the worst picks of last year’s draft.

    The Raiders took him in the fourth round and waived him after training camp, a truly ridiculous waste of a resource. The Titans signed him off Oakland’s practice squad last December.

    Coffman has spent time with the Bengals, Buccaneers and Falcons, giving them some experienced depth after Dickerson was injured in practice last week.

    Well I mean he was playing behind only the single greatest receiving TE in the history of the game last year.

    It is however always concerning when a promising looking player bounces from team to team every year.
