Actually that hitDarrell Reid stuck Chris Henry with had Henry hurting. Sure he got up but you could tell it was hard.

That was a perfect tackle tho. Head was up, and he even tried to wrap him up with his arms.

Since when have we as Titan's fans become so freaking picky about tackles? Who cares? He blew the guy up...I don't care if they had subbed a chearleader in to carry the ball.

You hit with passion and conviction...and he did. How many times have our safeties done that over the last few season.

LJ, this is the new NFL. the new appropriate way to tackle is to hug the player softly, as to not cause a concussion. But the ultimate tackle is letting the player run to the end zone.. Offense makes Roger Goodell more money.

I wasn't meaning to nitpick. Just making an observation. As I said it was easily one of the highlights of the game. I'm just saying that upon replay the hit didn't seem to warrant that kind of "reaction" from the RB. It just looked funny is all. But it was a nice to see nonetheless.

I agree with Sawdust, the hit looked harder than it was. That said, it was still a nice hit and I cheered him on when he got up to celebrate. I liked Stafford that game, he hit and showed intensity. Sure he needs to not wiff tackles but for his first pre-season game, I'll happily take it.

This, or Clipboard Jesus' scramble/throw was my favorite play.

As a defensive player you dream for these kinds of open hits though!

It was a nice play. The biggest take-a-way from that hit was the attitude. We were getting ran all over prior to that hit. This team needs attitude much like BP brings daily. I for one was glad to see it. We have always been a great defense when we were physical. I don't care as much about schemes, officiating, etc as long as we get back to being physical on defense.

The Hawks ran the league last year because they played with a chip on their shoulder and remained physical regardless of officiating or anything else! We have to get back to being the TITANS!

I don't understand how you can critique that tackle.

It was a form tackle. Just like they teach in Pop Warner.

It just so happened he accelerated through it and blew the guy up. If the TE was ready and saw him coming, still would have went down.
