Didn't Sankey play with the 3's last night? I only saw him run once (wasn't really paying attention by the 4th quarter) and he got a good 11 yards out of it.

I DVR'd the game, and am finally watching it now.

I have faith in Horton overall, but am definitely concerned about this defense (if that makes sense lol). The first team defense has been pretty bad through 2 games. I don't put all the stock into pre-season, but it's concerning.

Locker looked quite good. I think our offense is going to move the ball this year. The OL is damn good, and Greene/Sankey should consistently pick up 4-5 yards, allowing Locker to have success with Whis' short to intermediate game. Locker made some really nice throws to Walker, Wright, Dex, Hunter and Thompson. I really think we're going to be able to move the ball.

Mettenberger made some really nice throws. I'll say it again. I liked him at LSU, and was very happy when we drafted him. He's a Whiz prototypical QB, and I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up being our QB of the future, only if Locker doesn't work out though.

Mett saw Sunseri drop underneath the route, he was just too cocky and thought he could get the ball over his had and paid the price for his arrogance IMO. The "Sankey" fumble was definitely on him as well. Bishop was no where near the ball, then again maybe Bishop got too wide; looked to me like he was where he was supposed to be though.

Greene looks great so far but it's really hard to truly judge Sankey since the drop off between the 1st team O-line and 2nd/3rd teamers is so drastic. It's hard to imagine that Bishop wouldn't do much better with some of the holes that have been there for Shonn.

Lewan looks good when the defender tries to use pass rush moves but he has shown that he can be effectively bull-rushed at this level. I think a year or two of an NFL lifting program will fix that and it's nice to see he has that athleticism that is impossible to teach. Chance looks like less of a slob and I really like the attitude Schwenke is bringing to the line.

Hunter so far is showing to be what we all hoped he could, let's see it in the regular season now. Kendall is getting much less love than I'm used to; some of those touches might going to McCluster this season.

Edit: Oh yeah Delanie sucks right now Taylor Mothaphucking Thompson for pres.

I big issue I noticed from watching the game is that we got almost no push from our nose tackles in the pass rush. Sammie Lee Hill and Al Woods are not cutting it in the middle for use and if its not fixed people will be able to run it on us all season long.

I think SLH was getting double teamed a lot if im not mistaken last night, might have to go back and watch... but SLH looks ok in my opinion... the glaring upgrade I saw from last in a player was Derrick Morgan although he needs to start getting his hands up he could of knocked down 2 or 3 passes last night with ease... but he coming off the edge with some intensity and that's real good to see from him...

And im not buying in to this D Walker crap about how he is a lock at #1 TE, cause im telling you Thompson is looking better and better, the guy is excelling in this O thanks to Whiz, Walker better step his game up or his *** will be watching Thompson catching TD's against KC and becoming a stud

I just watched the game and SLH , AW, and Big Po (although he's not a NT) were stone walled by either single of double blocks. I think we could have had gotten 2-3 more sacks if McCown was not able to step up to avoid Morgan and Casey.

As a Thompson supporter through out the entire offseason I am loving the fact that Thompson is starting to step up and prove his haters wrong.

According to Whis via Wyatt, none of the injuries sustained to Greene, Whitehurst, or Oher appear serious.
