We got run all over by Jacquizz Rodgers. Let that sink in. I can't believe people are saying the rushing D was good. They stopped running because they realized we had Stevie Wonder and Hellen Keller at corner last night.

And can we please stop blaming the "scheme" for all of our issues? If you are in position to make the tackle the scheme did it's job now it's up to you to lay the stick and wrap up. We were consistently in position, sometimes even had guys dead to rights in the backfield and still gave up gains. We had tackling issues last year while running the good ole 4-3 too.Let's be real please.

It's been an issue for more than just this year.

We have to get pressure on QB or these young corners are toast. Hope we not showing much in preseason and turn it on when the regular season starts.

OK, we know they did not game plan for this game. Whiz said they would not due to the 1st pre season game being a near wash out and so many position battles. We also know that Horton's blitz packages during the season will be much more exotic. The offense has not shown much flash because Whiz wants to keep a certain amount of mystery about it, which is very smart. We have to hope that is all true or it is going to be a long year.

As for Greene he has run better than I thought he would. Sankey has missed just as many blocks as Greene. The real issue that stands out about the run game is the oline AGAIN. It really bothers me that we have so much invested in a line that does not play great on every play.

Verner left, end of discussion. We had to find a way to replace him. I hope that BWW will step up because Sensabaugh is not the answer. He is getting torched on every deep ball that comes his way. As for the comment that Campbell should be playing.....REALLY??? He is getting torched on plays AND making stupid penalties to go with that!!! He has been that way every game he has played! He is not the answer.

We STILL have no pass rush!! Why is Shaun Phillips not getting more reps??? He has had double digit sacks nearly every year. He has had great sack numbers in a 3-4 and 4-3, why wouldn't he be on the field more??? I don't get that. If we do not create a pass rush we are going to keep getting burned down the field no matter who the CBs are. A good pass rush will help our CBs.

I know it is pre season and we all tend to over react to the things we see. We know that it SHOULD get better, but that has not always been the case, especially on defense. Last year our defense was a strength most of the time. I really hope it gets back to that VERY soon!

Don't bet on that. These guys are fighting for a job. Schemes may be held back but I guarantee no one is missing tackles just to keep the future opponents in the dark.

I think you're off on the offensive line. There have been some lapses here and there by Roos and Lewan but overall they have been very stout. Jake finally has time to stand back there and find someone. One great example of this being that bomb to Nate last night. Had Greene simply don his job protection would of looked that much better.

One thing I want to note. I feel like we have the right coaching staff in place to fix these issues. I believe in them. One thing that really stuck out to me is what Pollard said. he said that at half time Coach Whiz really chewed us out, as he should have. I haven't been in a locker room with that kind of chewing in quite a bit. It was actually nice to hear. We haven't gotten that in a while. That stands out to me. We know coaching has been an issue in the past. To hear a player confirm that and know that this staff is not going to lay back and watch it makes me feel much better about where the team is headed. Whiz also said, I was pissed at the missed tackles, the wrong routes we ran, and allowing slants to be wide open on 3rd down. Some players were going to come out earlier, but they stayed out there much longer as a sort of punishment. They don't do that type of stuff in practice and I am not going to allow it on game day. We have to get better!

I also LOVED the amount of emotion I saw from Whiz on the sidelines. He was pissed over the play where a penalty was called against us as Roddy White ran over one of our CBs. And you could tell it!!!! I love seeing a coach get fired up on the side line. It is soooo much better than the stone faced look of Munch we had to endure for years!!!

I disagree with the Campbell hate. The penalties against him were a joke, and in fact, many of the PI calls that went against our defense were always contact instigated by the WR...even the commentators were whining about their inaccuracy.

As for Campbell, when he came in he was very good against Julio Jones. Step for step every single time, and strong on the jam on the line. In my opinion he was the best CB out of the three because his physical tools allow him to maintain positioning. Coaching staff would do well to give him more playing time. He needs reps.

Our offense looks ok, but the defense entirely negates anything positive the O pulled off. It's that bad, imho.

    Little of both

Bumping Matt Ryan after the play. Then got into it with several Falcons players. Got into it with Roddy White on another play.
