Pain in the ass isn't it?

Force punts, dammit, stop the cheese!

Anyhow, anyone playing ultimate team? I need a phillip rivers card with Speed run on it, willing to trade my 82 rated Alex Smith rated for ground and pound.

I played it last night at my boy's house on PS4.

    Destroyed him.

I have to say I'm impressed. Doesn't even play like the old Maddens.

Visuals are nice. Animations are smooth.

Titans are just as dangerous without CJ.

    Sankey is capable.
    WR core is sick.
    Jake has wheels.
    Had trouble on defense though.

I like it a lot. I'll be getting it after skipping last season.

Maybe it's because I haven't played Madden since 11, but I CAN NOT run the ball. I get maybe 50 yards rushing a game on 15-18 carries. CJ numbers.

It used to be so easy.

Running game seems harder for sure.

I'd say it is because the D line is more realistic.

Blocks don't hold and they penetrate fast.

You have just a couple seconds on a drop back to get the ball out.

On running plays you have to hit the designed hole. Miss the hole and you are done.

    I like it.

It's definitely tough getting runs, but i can usually get 4 or 5 regularly, and sometimes break a good 30+ yarder.

What I really love about this game besides the defensive upgrades though, is how smooth and fast everyone moves. Remember how painfully slow everyone was in madden on PS1 and 2?

Even the fastest running back would move like a fat kid trying to run away from a bully. But this, I can get used to.

Jurrell Casey rocks balls in this game too, There's something so satisfying about breaking thru the O-line and slamming the QB right on his pooter. I actually enjoy playing defense in this one. I've noticed one thing though, INTs don't come as easy as they did last season, although, if they did, it'd be one helluva defensive game, which is a hell of a lot more fun if you ask me, because throwing easy deep passes and scoring every possession is nowhere near as interesting as when two defenses just will not give an inch, and first downs are at a premium.

    Played it again.

Scorched my buddy for like 350 through the air with Locker.

Passing is tight up to 20 yards. Deep ball is no longer easy.

I still was able to rip up the field between the safeties using KW and Hunter in the slot.

I run 4WR sets usually and pulling the ball across the middle is still pretty easy even in man. Zone it's still easy to whip.

Shonn Green is killing for me.

Jake Locker finally returned from injury in week 5. Had a 30 yard TD run like a G.

While the animations are more smooth now- I find myself rolling my eyes at 70% of the tackles. They're so... soft. Like cushions bumping into each other then they immediately go limp and lie down.

Like... actually lying down. What's with all that? Lots of times the players will be lying down flat on their backs after tackles and wont move. For the longest I kept thinking they were hurt. Guess just getting a nap in.

I did see a dude spring into the air and do a backflip. Glitches everywhere.

What I want to know is when I start on franchise mode, Jake and CBJ are rated 69.... wtf is with that?

What's funny is is started a career as a defensive end, and in the first preseason game, titans trounced the pack by two scores.
