I was never mad with the player we drafted, I was shocked by the pick at 11 though.

Lewan graded out to be as good as anyone taken 1-11 in the draft, and plays the most important position after QB. Getting that level of player at 11 any other year in the draft would have been a godsend.

In a years time Im sure we'll see Lewans full value.

I'm indifferent. I have warmed up to the pick a bit, but we probably should've taken Dennard IMO.

That's also in hindsight because I wanted Teddy when we were on the clock. That still would've been a better pick than Lewan, but we got a pretty awesome value pick with Mett in the 6th.

Dennard was never healthy in college. Can't expect a guy who was never healthy in college to stay healthy in the NFL.

More important than position is how good the player ends up being. If he ends up being a star it was a great pick. If he ends up being a bust then it was a terrible pick.

was listening to whiz the other day talk about Lewan . He did say if someone goes out Lewan would be first in even at guard i believe he hinted to. So i think he has impressed Whiz. We will know pretty fast how good the oline is hope its like everyone thinks one of the best

In hindsight I guess the Lewan pick was a good one. I'll admit, when it happened I was absolutely livid. This is clearly a case of the F.O. having enough foresight to understand that Roos will likely be gone by next season and they figured that drafting a franchise LT isn't always easy because they are so highly sought after. Many times when teams draft a franchise LT at or near the top of the draft, they are day one starters and tend to show growing pains early, when Lewan takes over he won't have that.

All that said, I've had enough of this team using it's top picks on offense for awhile. I figure it's going to take Wiz and his staff three drafts and three off seasons to get the players they want on the roster.

We desperately need defensive play makers so I had damn well better see DL, OLB, S and CB addressed early in these next two drafts.

It was a good pick in hindsight. I too was angry about T at 11 but he was easily the BPA, and should be a star T for 10 years. If he busts, then obviously it was a bad pick. That goes for anyone.

Initially I did love the pick, but with this likely being Roos' last year and Oher a big question.. I can het behind the pick. We likely would of had to take OT early next year & Lewan was BP at the time.

As far as the Chance pick, still pretty mad about that.

he's certainly good for a 15 yard penalty the one or two snaps he gets

If Levitre doesn't step up his game, I'd slide Warmack left and let him start at RG the rest of the season.
