It was nice to see the defensive staff say that they needed to limit one guy and actually do it instead of letting that guy run wild like they didn't know who he was.

    @Maker_84 is a TR troll

    Great game.

    Locker is real.

Hunter is going to abuse some folks this year.

Dex was a clutch pick up.

Defense was hiding in the preseason.

    The Fisherball era has ended.

Great win by the Titans! How does everyone feel? I'm a little worried about the run game. Did not expect McCluster to get that many carries. Locker had a pretty good game from what I saw. Anyone have an update on Brown? Can't believe we shut down Jamaal Charles. Titan Up time to drink more.

I love that our Defense was great today.. Im counting this as we didn't allow a touchdown..the one they got was a gift from the refs with some terrible calls against us.

also that one would be touchdown catch from hunter was hands down pass interference that wasn't called.

Horton definatly dialed up blitzes for the regular season and our biggest weakness of opposing RB's and TE's didn't kill us like in years past

    Great Win!

Overall good job, and refreshing to see the differences that good coaching can make. I thought that we were pretty efficient offensively, and I was happy to see us mixing it up early.

Defensively we played well against an average offensive team with a playmaker missing. Our secondary did get beat a couple of times deep (note that one of McCourty's interceptions could have been a KC TD if the ball was well thrown), and our defense sort of lost its composure in the 2nd half on KC's TD drive (tough to criticize this too much though, as the refs did blow badly on this drive).

I would hesitate before pricing playoff tickets at this point though....KC came into the came hurt and the loss of Derek Johnson really impacted their D IMO. We looked good, but I still think that our weaknesses on D (that I have discussed on other threads) will bite us a few times this season.

That said, it is really good to be watching a game and starting to realize that our coaching staff is not making decisions that invariably "make it close" at the end. I cannot remember the last time I had that feeling (that we had the game in hand) during a Titans game, and I have been watching them for a long time.

Thank you Mr. Smith for breaking with the Bud Adams tradition on coaching hires.

Great performance, especially from the defense. McCourty stepped up and played great, granite it was Donnie Avery he was covering.

The only annoying part of the game was that I almost felt as if we were playing the Chargers and had Dan Fouts commentating. It was all about how the chiefs weren't playing well while in reality we dominated and didn't allow them to execute their gameplan

I had a ton of company over for the game, I hope my absence was felt in the game day thread..Ha!

What a terrific all around performance. You march into one of the toughest stadiums to play a road game in, it's there home opener no less, a playoff team, and you dominate the way we did. Wow, I'm on cloud 9 right now.

Jake Locker was quite terrific. Accurate, made big plays. Give me that performance every week! Not sure what else to say. I loved this game from Jake!

Running game looked very good. I have no gripes about it being a committee. Greene looked quite good bowling behind that OL. Dex got more carries than I would have imagined, but man is he nifty. Dif b.w him & CJ is he gets downfield before he starts dancing around to create more carries. Was surprised with lack of touches for Sankey, but man I like the way he runs. He's gonna be a good player once he grows into the role.

Receiving core was great, Wright, Hunter, Washington & Walker all made really nice catches on great throws. Add Dex, and this is really a terrific group of playmakers.

That defense though!! WOW. Holding Charles to 19 rush yards is incredible. I love the 3 picks and 4 sacks also!! We all (me included) should show more faith in Horton. He's been a great D Coordinator throughout his career, and he called a heck of a game today. Casey, Lee Hill & Pitoitua were really terrific on the line. Morgan showed his 3-4 'backer skills, he even played well in pass coverage. I hope Brown isn't lost for long. Woodyard was great also. J-Mac played a great game!! Those 2 picks were incredible. I've always liked him.

Save some praise for the coaching staff. What a difference a competent staff makes! Whiz and Co. called a great game all around. Some really terrific play calls.

Back to Nashville, let's make it 2-0!

Just hope they cut down on the defensive penalty's. Kept some drives alive because of them.
