I'm just saying I wouldn't have responded to your post at all had you not had to state derogatory lies about Bud right after the first regular season win in the first full season since his death.

 

In his defense, I guess I started this whole thing by thanking Tommie Smith for not making Bud Adams coaching decisions...which started a multiple page circular conversation (putting a couple of folks to sleep) about Adams and some of his issues with personnel decisions (which I should have said instead of "coaching", I guess).

 

Hyde is a beast but Sankey is going to be good in our offense and the lockeroom. He will improve and work hard. Nice all around back,deceptive strength,decisive and a great kid. I aint mad at that choice, it was a close call.

 

Why would you think I'm not on board with the Whisenhunt and the Titans this season? I've hardly voiced any pessimism regarding the team in particular regarding the coaching hire.

I do see how that works....I make a comment (perhaps inartfully), attempt to clarify the comment several times (backing it up with an example that you have conveniently not responded to), and you continue to call me a liar while getting more and more butthurt with each post. What a load of fun....and truly enlightening. Thank you for this rewarding experience.

With a new coaching staff, new system and dismal showing in the preseason I was sure that our defense was going to struggle for at least the the first 4-6 games of the season so as I look at the stats after today's game I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised, here's how the day ended up in some of the key defensive stats:

Total Net Yards--- 245

***Third Down Conversions---- 1 for 12, 8% (this has been our Achilles heel the past few years, not being able to get off the field on 3rd down, what a nice change)

Rushing Yards allowed----67
First Downs---15
Sacks--4
Interceptions---3

We were able to zone in and neutralize their best weapon by holding Jamal Charles to only 19 yards. In the past we'd say "we need to stop this guy" and then "that guy" we were trying to stop would have a career day on us.

On the offensive side we spread the ball around, keeping their defense guessing and we ran very effectively pilling up 162 yards. There's no doubt CJ "I fall down for no reason at all" has definitely been holding us back and we're better off without him. It's nice to see a forward moving run game again instead of -1, -3, +2, BS we've had to endure the past few years. Good riddance CJ1yrd!

I truly feel like we've turned over a new leaf and I'm excited about the future of our team again.

It was a win and a great way to start the season. I liked nearly every post game comment I've heard from the coaches and players. (Including Andy Reid- he said Whiz has done a great job with our team and that we've got talent.) Whiz says he's glad we weren't perfect because we've got a long way to go to be a great team.

Man- I hope fans show up ready to get loud at LP. I'm coming up with 7 clients and I planning on "old times" at the stadium.
