And I can think of 300 others who didn't amount to ****. If you're relying on the outlier you're going to wait a long ****ing time.

Starting QBs by round in the NFL in 2014.

1st: 17 of the 32 starters in week one were first round picks. 18 if you count Sam Bradford who would have been the starter had he not hurt his knee.
    2nd: 6
    3rd: 3
    4th- undrafted: 5

You go ahead and hold your breath on Mettenberger. I'm not hating the guy, the odds are just not in his favor.

    Locker isn't good.

I've been telling you guys this for the longest.

Even IF healthy- he can't throw from the pocket and there's a reason he only plays decently when he's playing out of Shotgun.

Shotgun all last week worked. We tried to let him throw from under center this week.... well. You see.

No reason we shouldn't be a run first team.

Locker should be a game manager at most. If we're expecting him to throw all game, teams will LOVE playing us.

I'm worried about Kendell Wright after the first two games. It seems like he is just learning to run routes for the first time and there was an article in the offseason indicating that he was improvising his routes last season.

I think the first two weeks have pretty much shown us who he really is. An inconsistent injury prone QB that holds on to the ball too long.

Bad games happen, even to the best of QBs. The important thing is how Jake will bounce back from this performance. Saying that we will need to draft a QB after one bad performance is a bit premature imho.
A lot of QBs had terrible performances this weekend. Will all those teams be looking for a new QB in the 2015 draft? Matt Ryan...sucked, Eli Manning...sucked, Kaepernick sucked big time. All I am saying is that bad games happen. Let's see how he plays next week.

... I will confidently call Kaepernick a bad QB.

And he'll continue to prove me right.

    After one performance?

We've BEEN knowing we need to draft a QB. Where have you been the past 3 seasons?

And you guys expecting him to play better vs the Bengals when he was awful vs the worst defense in the league...

    Keep dreaming.

At this point, you cant measure him by his "good" games (which are very average). You judge him by his consistency, or lack thereof.

It really is OK to turn on a bad QB not named Vince.

I'm glad to see someone point out Whiz here. I didn't think the team was playing with anything close to the intensity level I saw in Kansas City. Having said that, Locker was missing open receivers. Receivers were dropping the ball. I don't know how much you put on Whiz for players not executing or being outplayed.
